Excellent. Called and they gave me an estimate over the phone for approximately 700 sq ft of hardwood flooring install. I was wary about that at first, but there were no hidden costs and in fact refunded a portion for work that was not needed. The cost of installation was very reasonable and done very quickly by just one person. I had doubts that he would get it done in just 2 days, but Claudio was very a professional and hard worker, who went above and beyond to satisfy me. I was shocked at how well the flooring install went and how great it looks. I would highly recommend Eastern CT Flooring and wouldn't hesitate to use them again for other projects. Started out fine. I went to the house to check progress of subfloor removal and found nearly every piece of wood trim (one of the main reasons we bought the house) was damaged in some way. There were also a few holes in the drywall and a split baseboard. When we first confronted the owner her response was that it must have been the painters that we hired to remove wallpaper and paint. The painters removed almost all of the baseboards and didn't even scratch the wallpaper they were preparing to remove. Only after threatening to fire her and sue for money already spent, the owner switched install crews. The subfloor also had high and low spots that we were concerned about. She said its not a problem. After consulting several other contractors, we demanded an assessment. She brought in her builder who initially was resistant to shim the floors. After much back and forth the floors were finally shimmed, up to 3/4 inches in a couple places. We still have a couple low spots that squeak horribly. She also convinced us to go with prefinished flooring. This was a huge mistake since our floors are a little uneven. It was a horrible experience that we never want to go through again. Our floors look great at first glance. Once you look closely you can see cracked boards, chipped finish, uneven cuts, and we had to hire someone else to fix all of the trim, which we had to split the cost of just to end the nightmare.

They were booked up. They were professional, but they were a couple weeks out on their timeline and I wanted the job done sooner. They were very good as far as getting back to me after I called them. They have a reputation of showing up and doing the job well. The owner is a woman ran and she has a few of the crews that are women as well who do hardwood flooring. I was impressed that with that fact and I think it will be beneficial for other members to know. I will recommend others to them in the future.
