Enzo "came with the house" for lack of a better way to describe how we ended up hiring him. The only positive thing I can say about him is that he is relatively punctual and arrives when he says he will. He charged us double the going rate to plow our driveway, and invoiced us for services he did not perform such as weeding. He dumped way too much mulch on the property, strangling the trees and creating binding root systems. He likes to talk a lot and was constantly trying to get me to agree to put in plantings that I did not need done. I asked him to put in mulch and play sand and loosely discussed the price in advance. The final bill was twice as much as we had agreed upon. He did adjust it after we complained but not by much. Most bizarrely though, was the number of lies and tall tales he told me. He told a friend of ours who was installing a gas grill for us that he built the garden structure in the backyard and asked him what he thought would be a good price to charge us! Meanwhile, the garden structure was built by my contractor, and he had nothing to do with the project whatsoever (thankfully). This is just one of the strange stories he made up and ultimately I felt there was no way we could trust anything he told us nor did I want to continue to pay his inflated prices.
