We orally agreed upon the price of $40.00 each time the service of lawn cutting, weed trimming & leaf blowing would be done. The landscaper is punctual. When the first invoice arrived he charged $45.00 instead of the $40.00. I did not bother to dispute the $5.00. When I asked for a price to clean up debris left on a hill which borders the house but belongs to the village, I was quoted between $160.00 to $180.00. When the clean up was done I was told that it was $200.00. When I prepaid an invoice, the credit was not applied to the subsequent invoice and I had to contact their office to fix it. No problem there. In October, 2013 the invoice for the same services went from $45.00 to $67.50. The bill stated a "cut and a 1/2". There was no explanation of what constituted the increase. On November, 12, 2013 I emailed the landscaper and terminated the services and advised that I would pay for any services rendered from the last billing in October, 2013 to the date of termination which is November, 12, 2013. On December 18, 2013 I received an invoice for services rendered for November, 2013 which included Nov 6 & Nov. 20 still at the $67.50 level. I had previously spoken to a female in the office back in November, 2013 to confirm that the email was received to which the response was yes. This is not good business practice.
