They have my furnace cleaned once a year. The price seems fair enough. They did a good job. They were very professional. I had a good experience with these people.

I chose the highest level of service contract, which means that they will come out anytime I need them for an emergency, and they will send someone out. They are timely and they take care of it. The contract also includes an annual cleaning. I can request Dave specifically to come out.

Overall this is a good company. But they are one of the most expensive when it comes to heating oil. You can look on the CT state weekly heating oil prices (just Google it) and state line is always well over the state average. I was with them for a few years until I realized I could get a much lower price, like .50 / gal lower. same week apples to apples.
What really soured me on the company is when I called to cancel. They were willing to drop the price by .25 for all future deliveries. Now if I didn't already know that I would be getting it for .50 less with the company I went to ( and still with 4 years later) they I may of took their offer. But then that got me thinking they were really overcharging me. When I told my neighbor about this he indicated that State line charged him and a neighbor different prices / gal on the same day.

I knocked them down on professionalism since when I politely declined they really just started to get rude and saying I could do no better on price. And I also got a lecture that their oil is superior because they put pixie dust in it and trying to scare me that other oil will ruin my system. It was all just a little unprofessional to say the least.
The cleanings at state line were over a third more than what I pay now for the same service also.
I did call them last month in Aug, 2012 to inquire on the price / gal (you have to be put on hold to get a price) and sure enough their prices are still very expensive compared to others.

They have been very helpful. They are punctual and they seem to be people who never over charge, but to be honest I feel that they monthly oil delivery fee is a bit high. They oil pump prices are probably in the higher range, but my additives are that my oil is always clean; I have never had problems with my oil delivery and if I have repairs they are punctual. They have helped me out and even lowered prices for my repair and estimates significantly, compared to other companies. I am happy with them and will stay with them.

I had them come out for a service call, and they repaired my problem. I had the same issue come up less than a year later, and I called them. I complained that their repair should last longer than a year, and they graciously tore the bill up. My service for that day was free. I was really pleased.

I worked with the sales rep Mark Chiasson to review my plans. He was professional, courteous and very knowledgable in all aspects of the job.

We met at my house, reviewed the site, proposed locations and Mark developed a detailed estimate for my application.

We agreed on the specifications, cost etc and scheduled the installation.

The entire job went very well. I have no complaints and I am thrilled with the outcome and my new tankless hot water system.

I am considering working with them to convert my hot water heating system to this type of mechanical system as well.

State Line called to make the appointment and the technician arrived on schedule. This was the seventh annual tune-up by them. The service took about 45 minutes including changing the oil filter, cleaning and adjusting the furnace and testing the furnace efficiency. I have been pleased with all service done by State Line over the 7 years I've been with them. I never had to call them back to fix something after service was performed .

It went well. The salesman, Bill, was very patient and explained my options. He told me about different rebates/tax credits/financing available. The installers were prompt and efficient. They let me know what the time line would be and stuck to it. They followed up to make sure the new system was working. Overall, it was a pleasant experience compared to many contractor experiences I have had.

They came over in an emergency on a Sunday and I wasn't their customer and filled my tanks so that was wonderful. What was not wonderful was they charged me twice for the oil with my credit card. Actually, that is something on my list to deal with this week because I just found that out last week when I got it in the mail. What they had said to me when I originally called them was that I could leave that balance there and we'll use it the next time we go to fill your tank. I said no and I'd like that money back. She said that she will get back to me and that was on Friday and I haven't heard from them. On the one hand, they were really great in coming. She did explain to me that they had some new system there so it might be the new system. They were professional and very helpful. They were really good.

We have been using them for about 23 years. They are great. They are dependable and are there when we need them. If we have any issues they are very prompt in coming out and servicing. Their price reasonable and we are satisfied with their service.

I would give them an "A" for everything because they did a really good job. They are fast, neat, and affordable for the work they do. My furnace ran great all winter long after the service was done. I have had no trouble with the unit.

State Line installed the HVAC systems in my new house in E Windsor. They have been very responsive to requests and questions. I also used their services for my previous house in Simsbury. My new place uses Natural Gas, the old place, oil and propane (for fireplace). I continue to use their services and recommend them to my neighbors.
