She immediately wanted to put me on drugs instead of finding where the problem was.
Description of Work: I went to shop for a new primary care physician to confirm the one I have currently is doing everything possible.

I really trust Dr. L and her staff (especially her nurse Christine) They tell me the truth, give me referrals if necessary, and always do a thorough job in my physicals. I would highly recommend Dr. L and everyone that works in her office. The Nurse practioners have changed over the years, but I have always found them to be competent for smaller things like colds/common illnesses. If I really need Dr. L, I can request her and get access to her. Excellent practice!!!
Description of Work: Dr. L has been my primary care physician for over 15 years. She is punctual, friendly and really listens to what I have to say. All the staff in her office are nice and professional.

Wow, what a great suggestion! I did get better after another two weeks! And I could not wait to switch to another doctor! Honestly, I think that about 80% of my illnesses just need time, rest and water. And most of the doctors usually spend an average of 10-15 min with you if you go in for an office visit (except for a physical exam). But a little bit of smile and comforting words always help. This doctor was not necessarily bad-mannered (She said Hi and Bye, and possibly Thank You). However her unfriendliness turned me away. Her skill was probably as good as any of the nurse practitioners. Hopefully she's evolving over the time since I haven't seen her for over two years (thank goodness!) and the experience is still quite refreshing.
Description of Work: I had been to this doctor twice and got some advice over the phone once. First time office visit was a physical check-up and went OK. But she recorded lots of personal information in details that had nothing to do with my health condition, such as "what's your education level?". I was wondering if I would have gotten better treatment if I were a Dual P.H.D. or the other way around. Second office visit was worse. She sent me out of the door right after several minutes of ear, throat and nose checking. I guess it was just some common cold... And not to mention the advise over the phone once. That time I had very bad cough and headache for over two weeks. I phoned in, unfortunately it happened to be the doctor's personal line. She sounded annoyed that I was calling for illness not her personal matter. She instantly switched me to the nurse. And the nurse instantly told me not to come in for an office visit since they were swamped by all the sick persons that were not really in any emergency need. She suggested giving more time and taking lots of water and some allergy medicines.
