We've had one bike restored and purchased two new bikes, a Thule roof rack, and some accessories from Cycling Concepts over the past 10 years.  We had good experiences when we were spending a lot of money; however, customer service was much more lacking on our most recent visits to buy things like new helmets, a kid's bike, bike trailer, etc.  When I was there last night (3/20/12) I waited in the store for 40 minutes without the assistance I needed from staff; four people (three of them apparent biking buddies of the store manager) who came in after me were waited on before me.  When the store manager went to the back to help the 4th person, I finally left without ever being helped, concluding that Cycling Concepts doesn't really want business from the non-hardcore bicyclists.  They certainly won't get any more business from my family--we have found equivalent expertise and better prices at Dick's Sporting Goods.
