It was a WONDERFUL experience!! The installers just left..they were here less than 2 hours. They were on time, respectful and professional. Bob, the owner is an expert. We couldn't be more happy with the results!!! The quality is amazing!!! You will not go wrong with this company!!

I have 16 year old awnings from this provider and they have held up well. As they have seen neglect over the past few years I had some questions on how to repair and maintain them. When I called with some questions they offered to come out and take a look at them; based on my availability. The owner showed up gave me a quote for some repairs and showed me how to do them myself if I was so inclined. The service on every level was outstanding and I will be doing work with them again in the future!

Workmenship was excellent and neat.

I called the office to let them know i was interested in getting information on their products, they scheduled a site visit where they measured, advised on sizing, showed fabric samples and pricing. Was able to agree on a suitable product and price and signed a contract that day. Two weeks later, they called to tell me my product had arrived and would call back to schedule. They did and were in and out in 2 hours.

We lost our awning in the recent storm and need a replacement. I had spoken with one of the salespersons at Awning Place right after the storm. I explained I didn't want to set up an appointment immediately because I didn't know how the insurance company wanted us to proceed. She seemed sympathetic and agreeable. I said I'd call back as soon as I knew how the insurance wanted to proceed. And I did today.

In the course of our conversation this morning, she told me they wanted a $50 (returnable IF they get the order) fee for coming out to do the estimate. Considering they're four miles away and this was not mentioned in our prior conversation AND considering they are the only contractor who has ever asked us for a and quot;refundable feeand quot; for giving an estimate in all the time we've owned our home, I am completely disgusted. I've thought it through and I don't see the point of this. It's milking the situation to their advantage. I had hoped to do business with them as the young lady was very pleasant initially and I assumed this was the type of courteous and agreeable customer service we would received from them. So they were at the top of our list for contractors for this project.

If it was within our budget, we had hoped to get two awnings, the replacement awning, and a second for the front door if we could swing it.

But thinking it though,this is the height of taking advantage of a disaster situation and I felt disgusted after hearing her say that. I've heard of this kind of thing during emergencies but this is the first I'd experienced it first hand. There has been so much damage in the aftermath of this storm and everyone - including all the vendors I've been in touch with have been bending over backwards to assist us and all our CT neighbors in this. But Awning Place - no.

They were very professional, and did good work. Thought price was high, but they do a good job, and quality is very good, too. Would use them again. Quick turn around, too.
