AM-PM ROOFING

Contracted AM-PM ROOFING SEPTEMBER 2022 NEW ROOF SHINGLES, REPLACE ANY DAMAGED ROOF MATERIALS, AND INSTALL NEW 50 YEAR LEAK PROOF SHINGLES. STRIP OLD ROOF SHINGLES AND INSTALL NEW SHINGLES. UPON INSPECTION OF EXTERIOR OF HOUSE YELLOW SIDING HAD STREAKS OF BLACK FROM ROOF MATERIAL. WHEN PAUL DUBE CAME 10/04/2022 TO INSPECT JOB AND PAYMENT I INFORMED PAUL OF SITUATION. PAUL THEN WENT TO TRUCK AND HAD QUART CAN WITHOUT A LABLE AND PROCEDED TO CLEAN ALL STREAKS ON SIDING ON 4 EXTERIOR WALLS AND 2 GARAGE WALLS, HANGING ROOFING MATERIALS (ROOFING DEBRIS, ROOFING NAILS, BETWEEN GUTTER AND FACIA). AT THAT TIME CLEANED SPOTS SHOWED STAINING, WAITED FOR A COUPLE RAINS THINKNG STAINS WOULD WASH OFF! NOT. STAINS DIDN'T CHANGE STILL NOTICEABLE. TALKED TO PAUL I ASKED WHAT HE USED TO CLEAN SPOTS HE SAID " I DON'T REMEMBER" HIS RESPONSE WAS USE MAJIC ERASER THAT TAKES ANYTHING OFF. I WENT TO WALMART PURCHASED MAJIC ERASER TRIED ONE SPOT AND STAIN JUST SAT THERE, NO CHANGE. CALLED AND SENT EMAIL TO PAUL AND NEVER RECEIVED A REPLY. THEN HAD A RAINSTORM APPROX. 12/22/2022 AND NOTICED WATER RUNNING DOWN INTEIOR WALL COMMON TO GARAGE AND HOUSE. CALLED PAUL LEFT EMAIL. WILLIAM (2039176740) FROM AM-PM SHOWED UP 12/24/22 USED MY LADDER INSPECTED ROOF REMOVED SIDING, RUINED SIDING SAID HE NEEDED TO REPLACE FLASHING, WILLIAM ALSO NEEDED OTHER MATERIAL SO HE USED MY FELT I HAD IN OVERHEAD IN GARAGE TO LINE WALL UNDER RUINED SIDING. WILLIAM SAID HE WOULD RETURN FOLLOWING WEDNESDAY (12/28/2022) TO REPLACE SIDING OVER GARAGE, STILL WAITING. WILLIAM ALSO TRIED TO CLEAN STAINS WITH HIS MAJIC ERASER NO CHANGE, WILLIAM SAID " I WILL ASK PAUL WHAT HE USED" NO COMMUNICATION FROM AM-PM NEEDS TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY CLEAN AND/OR REPLACE SIDINGS DAMAGED. I called AMPM roofing Saturday morning. Paul answered immediately. He asked to call me back because he was on a roof. He called back when he said that he would and set up an appointment for later that morning. Paul came out, made the temporary repair that I needed and provided me with a detailed estimate of the cost of replacing my roof. When I asked what he wanted for the repair, he indicated that he was not charging me. He was very low key and not at all pushy, even when I did not commit to purchasing a roof from his company.

Came out to inspect the roof & provide a price; They were the low bid at $10,000. After tearing the roof off the house, said it would cost $20,000 because he didn't realize what was under the shingles. Installed 1/2 plywood instead of 3/4" quoted. During this job, the also roofed over the existing roof drains for the porch; When I asked it to be fixed, rather than expose the existing roof drain from under the new roofing, install flashing, rework the roofing and do it properly, they drilled a large hole in the roof and installed a large, commercial type drain protruding roof drain (on a very visible location of a residence) and installed it on the HIGH POINT of the roof, so not only does it look out of place, it doesn't even work because the water can't drain to it!! Refused to come return to fix it because I never paid for the installation of the same roof drain.
