Finman Windows LLC

We had Finman replace old windows on our home. The new windows themselves seem decent quality, however, service has been poor. We had an issue when the windows were being replaced and the owner got an attitude. His laborer eventually came up with a good resolution but Jed was not helpful. Recently, we needed an easy adjustment on a door (they installed) and they will not come out to fix it. We have been told that they do not give appointments for this- they call when their worker is in the area and then he comes out. Plus, they apparently charge $80 for a service call. If you miss the call that their worker is in the area, you are out of luck- apparently for weeks! This is an impossible way to get anything done. It has been months since we originally asked for their help and they still haven't followed up. Their service has been very poor. We finally called A-1 Windows in Simsbury after realizing Finman was not interested in following up with their customers. Dave from A-1 Windows came out within two hours and fixed the problem with no charge. A-1 is a much better company.

These guys were good.  I had no idea how they were going to take out the old window and install the new window.  It was interesting to watch.  They were very professional.  Finished the project in half a day.  They cleaned up the front yard and the inside of the house.  You would never know they were here, except for the new, beautiful window.  It makes the whole room look bigger, and definitely brighter.  I would not hesitate to recommend Finman's to anyone.

The job was done by a husband and wife team who took all 14 windows out in the am. They installed all 14 after lunch and left the place clean by 3:30. Unbelievably good.

Job done well but when you call for info woman that answers the phone always has to have somebody else call you back with a answer. Never is able to give help even though told she could.

It went great. The sales/negotiation process was smooth, informative and low pressure The installers were prompt, courteous, professional and explained everything they did.
I'm realy impressed with the trim, especially around the windows and doors. In just a few days I've had a number of people (neighbors, joggers, dog walkers, etc.) stop to tell me how good the whole windows/siding job looks.

Salesman is very punctual, professional and personable. Easy to work with and has been with the company for a long time. He really knows his stuff. The windows took a week longer than I originally thought, but they were installed quickly with great clean up. They were on time and did the work in less than 4 hours. The people who installed them have also been working in this business for a very long time. It was clear that they are also very experienced and careful about their work. I am extremely pleased with the process and the installation and will definitely use them again.

The estimator was efficient, professional and friendly, and gave an accurate quote while answering all of our questions. The job was started when planned, and was completed in two days (19 windows) in the time they said they would do it. The installers were professional, quick, and did a very nice job - cleaning up after themselves and getting everything back in place.

They were great. The manager was one of the finest contractors that I have ever hired. His workman was equally good. I had hired them for windows replacement. I was so satisfied with their work that, I hired them for roof leak repair. I would use them in the future.

The person that did the install was professional and curtious. Working with the company was very easy.

This was our second time using Finman. We used them because they were quick, clean, professional, and cost efficient. When the factory didn't have the windows ready the morning that we were scheduled to have them installed, Jed drove to the factory himself and made sure that our windows got on the truck. They were installed quickly and on time. We used Finman to replace the windows in our old house, and now that we have moved, we will use them again when the time comes.

Four of the major window replacement firms in the Farmington Valley area were invited to submit bids on the project. One firm, quoting Marvin windows, was double the price of the other three and I could not see any appreciable difference in the quality of Marvin windows that would justify the higher cost. The other three, all quoting solid vinyl windows were within 6% of each other. Finman windows was the lowest bidder, but I selected them for two main reasons: 1) I was impressed by their General Manager, Al Summa, who was extremely knowledgeable regarding the several lines of replacement windows that Finman sells and installs and his straightforward answers to every question I put to him; and 2) I liked many of the features of the "Advantage Series 6" line of windows I selected. These windows are produced by Mercury Excelum Inc., a Connecticut firm that has been in business since 1953. My house is a colonial with 12 over 12 window grids, which the company was able to reproduce. Two rooms in the house have natural wood paneling and they were able to provide grids and interior frames with wood finishes to match the paneling. Also, one room has period paneling with a period blue painted finish. They supplied a supplemental set of window grids on the inside that can be painted to match that finish. The windows were manufactured and were ready for installation when they were promised. All installation work was completed in three days with a crew of three men. All work was done in a professional manner and all rooms were cleaned and all debris removed at the completion of each day's work. My wife and I are completely happy with our new windows and we are very pleased with the work done by Finman Windows, who we world highly recommend to anyone needing replacement windows.

The windows are of really good quality and arrived in good condition. The installer, Wayne, called to let me know he'd be late because of traffic. He actually stayed to install all the windows in one day instead of the two days that was planned. He was extremely neat while he worked and was very personable.

I WAS NOT SATISFIED WITH THEIR WORK. THEIR WORKMANSHIP WAS POOR AND THEY WERE VERY SLOPPY WORKERS. I DO GIVE THEM SOME CREDIT FOR COMING BACK AND FIXING EVERYTHING THEY DID WRONG THOUGH.
