"Worst customer we've had in 30 years. Are you going to leave a new bad review for me each week? Really? All F's? Perhaps you are the problem..."
"The painters she is referring to have been with us for years. Everyone of them that worked on her house refused to go back. Never happened with any other customer. The kind of horrible that make me shake when I think about what we all went through, and the money I spent trying to make them happy only to have her post TWO complaints on this site. Again if all the other customers are thrilled with us (please read all my other reviews) then the problem is most likely with her. Do give her a call - [Member Info Removed] and see how normal and sober she is. Go see the paint job that every one else would be happy with. Also, my carpenter who everyone loves, after so much torture told her to keep her d*** money; $750 worth. He would rather work for free..."
They did an excellent job. We had some issues with timing as I was traveling a lot during the job and would have preferred to be here. However, everything went well so it didn't turn out to be a problem. They were fast, efficient and we were very happy with the quality of the work. I have used them in the past for interior painting which I would describe as miraculous in matching the colors I wanted. Jeff Wright (Project Manager) is a miracle worker at matching colors and a terrific guy to boot. They did leave several large bags of trash, painting stuff, for us to dispose of which I thought wasn't appropriate but, a minor inconvenience.
They are unquestionably our go to painters and I will surely be using them again in the future. I would highly recommend them.
Steve did the right job at the right price. His team was detail oriented, friendly and conscientious about the work they performed. and were spotless on the clean-up. Would look forward to using them again.
His partner later dropped by to see the site and recommend the paint that would suit our needs.
They first power washed my trim and cedar shake siding on our 5 berm 2-storey house using a peroxide-based solution that wouldn't harm our landscaping.
After that had dried, three pleasant professional painters arrived on time with all ladders, etc and began to sand the trim (by hand and power). Despite some very awkward heights and intruding holly trees, they methodically painted all the trim and the small true-divided light windows without splashing paint anywhere. NO muss, no fuss--just very quietly professional. A real pleasure . I have had many paint jobs by many painters over the past 40 years--these were easily the best. And the painted trim looks great.
Also, they use a cheap paint and the color in one room in particular is not at all close to the sample.
"On 12/12/12 emailed back: I was just alerted by Angie’s list about (member name removed)’s complaint. Last I knew, you were happy to be a reference. Is there something that you’d like us to fix? Please let me know. No reply from the customer. And we never use cheap paint..."
"I'm sorry I didn't let you know that your large dog's tail rubbing on the paint could mess it up. I figured this was implied in life. As far as the porch goes, floors, decks, fences and rails are the only areas that fall outside my garantee because I guarantee they will fail no matter who paints them. As far as the price goes, my prices are always fair. Sincerely, Steve"
"We did the painting job in question in september of 02. The member's house was peeling massively. She opted for a tourough spot sanding, spot priming and repainting. If we did ask for more money (I don't show any record of that, but it was so long ago, my computer records were not that great) it was because we ended up spending way more hours sanding than I bid for at the time. Unfortunately all the areas that were not peeling when we did the job, started to peel later due to a horrible original paint job. We have a 3 year guarantee. If the member called me within the 3 years we would have (and possibly did) touch it up gladly. I don't recall ever hearing from the member, than to my utmost surprise 9 or 10 years later, the member posted a complaint about my company. I even visited her last fall to explain and ask that she dismiss this complaint of almost 10 years. Since then, our reference list has grown by thousands. What else can I do?"
