Once he got here, it went well. Was hard to schedule them in:  Our original appt. was delayed due to "emergencies" they had to take care of.  Then we had to leave town for a few days.  I hated to leave the water running while we were gone, but did not want to shut off supply to house (the water bill should be here soon - can't wait too see it).  The work was clean and efficient.  This was their first visit to my home.  I will call them again as they have more than one employee, so might be easier to get their help.  I did think the price was high, but others have said that also.  I had not called a plumber in quite a while.

We have been using them for over 50 years. He came and repaired a leaking shower stall. So far so good.  I would highly recommend this company to others as well as continue to use them in the future.

They came in with the service charge which I expected. I had four or five issues I needed resolved. He had to go get a part for one repair. He did complete the project that the part was needed for. He stated that he completed all the projects and charged me however he did not. He refused to come back to complete the job that he had already charged me for unless I paid him again.  The one project that he completed was done correctly however the lack of completion on the other tasks overshadows the work that was completed.

I will definitely use them again and would request Nate. All plumbers are expensive, but price was fair and responsiveness was great.

We have used them twice and the experience was excellent both times. They were prompt, clean, and solved our problems quickly and completely.

Problems: they snaked from inside the basement even though I had an outside access point to the pipe. (Unfortunately I didn't realize this till afterwards, but they should have -- it's their line of business to know these things. Also did not give me an option to just replace the section of pipe that was clogged, which was near the sidewalk, instead of digging up the whole driveway. (Again, I only thought of this when it was too late). Also, they left a mess of loose asphalt after patching the driveway. When I called later to ask about all these issues, I was repeatedly promised a call back, which never came.

Called Ray Flanagan in the early afternoon of 8/16 to request a quote on a replacement for a hot water heater that had begun to leak the night before. I called Flanagan after waiting most of the day for another company that quoted me a price almost $1,000 more expensive for the same work. Although the price still seems a bit high for a switch-out of a hot water heater, Flanagan was very accommodating - they were able to perform the service within hours and they were very good to work with. I will call them again for any plumbing needs.

They did come the first time that I called them for a plumbing job but they never came back again for another job. I called them twice but they didn't get back to me.

All went well with no surprises. The plumber was well skilled and proficient at his trade. He drilled a hole under the kitchen sink, through the wall to the outside. It didn't take any time at all for him to install the spigot and tap into the cold water feed.He was very friendly and didn't mind my 85lb. baby of a poodle. After a leak check and a clean-up, he was on his way.

I made several calls before getting a response. They sent a man to evaluate the job, but they never followed up after that. I gave the job to a plumber who was highly responsive, prompt, efficient, and reasonably priced.

I was looking for a contractor to replace my 18 years old water heater. I had State Industries 40 gallons direct vent gas water heater PRV 40 NORS and wanted to replace it with the same brand model since I had a good experience with this brand. My old water heater was not leaking so I could afford to shop around and find what I was looking for. I was looking for manufacturer authorized contractors who are installing State Industries water heaters and one of the businesses from my list was Ray Flanagan Heating and Plumbing company located in Fairfield, CT. First time I contacted them on November 7th, 2011 over the phone and spoke with the representative Jason Becker. I explained my needs, gave the old heater model number and a serial number and he told me he will send me a quote. First quote was emailed promptly the same day but for the wrong type of the water heater. I have a direct vent model but the quote was for a power vent model. After few weeks going back and forth with quotes for a wrong type of a water heater, finally a company owner decided to stop by and see what type of water heater I have. Please note that both - my house and Ray Flanagan Heating and Plumbing business are located in Fairfield within 4-5 miles from each other. The owner quickly figured out that all the quotes I was getting were for a wrong type of water heaters and let Jason know about it. Few days later after multiple phone calls I finally received a new quote for a correct tyoe of a water heater. I wanted to install a larger size water heater (50 gallons) and a longer tank warranty model - 10 years instead of 6. There is a number of different models made by the manufacturer, but all I was offered were basic models with 6 years warranty for tank and parts. When I asked about a longer warrantty options and better quality models I was offered a $250 upgrade option for the 6 years warranty model - installing additional set of anode rods. I did my own research and came up with a list of models I would like to consider and get quotes for. Everytime I had to make multiple phone calls in order to get a quote for a particular model or an option or find out about model's availability - it seemed that this company has a lot of business and water heaters replacement is way lower on their priorities list. I also felt that I knew more about available water heater models from the State Industries than the company's representative. At the end I decided to install Premier Series Self-Cleaning Residential Water Heater GPX 50 YXRT with 10 years tank and parts warranty, but I choose to use a different contractor who was more attentive, responsive to my questiones and showed interest in my business.

Very professional, pointed out some other DIY plumbing concerns that may eventually need to be addressed. Haven't had any plumbing problems since!

They were very good. They were thorough and performed the work in a good amount of time. We were given the wrong size tank (by the supply company), but they were able to make modifications to make it work. They did a great job.

They sent an engineer to assess the situation before doing any work. However, after that interaction, I never heard back from them.

I called to get an outside water pipe fixed. A person answered the first time I called, instead of leaving a message for a call-back. So often the call-back happens when you are not prepared to get the call, which is why it was nice to talk to a person immediately. They had appointments available and I was able to choose a very convenient time. The plumber arrived exactly (to the minute) on time. They even called 1 hour beforehand to make sure I was home. Work was quick, and done right. Only comment would be that the plumber had to cut several holes to find cracked pipe, one of which was not in a logical place. If he had looked at the pipes, the location would have been pretty easy to find, but it was a tough call, so I don't hold the extra hole against them. Overall, very pleased.

I had a new jetted bathtub installed in an upstairs bathroom and the contractor didn't hook the drain up correctly. We didn't use the tub immediately, but several weeks later, after the first use, it sprung a huge leak, which soaked down into the kitchen below, destroying the ceiling. I called Flanagan Plumbing in a panic and they were very responsive and had someone out to my house the very next morning. The worker was very professional, found the problem (even meticulously documented it for me so I had some evidence when I pursued the contractor for reimbursement (that's another story!!). I was so pleased with Flanagan's work that I recently called them back to my house to do some minor fixes to some leaky faucets and a washing machine hose. Flanagan will always be my plumber of choice.

It could not have gone better. Eric was my plumber, and he was as nice as could be, very professional, totally knew his stuff, and fixed everything that needed to be fixed. It turned out the originally offending toilet had 3 separate things wrong with it (actually the the plumbing from the toilet into the main pipeline, not the toilet per se), all of which he identified and fixed - with a smile! He installed the new toilet in the other bathroom and installed a new shower head (both of which I had purchased separately) and checked a couple of other things that he felt weren't working as well as they should be. Wow! I feel I have a plumber for life!

He came in and it was leaking and when he left it wasn't. He gave me a three hour window of when he would be here and he was here within that time frame. He provided a good value for the service.
