"Hi [Member Name Removed], We are so sorry for your negative experience. Based on the information we have along with pictures taken of the ductless unit from your home, the unit was turned off and there are no visible signs of water damage at the end of the technician visit. We take full responsibility for any damage caused by one of our techs and do our best to remedy the situation. The service call was to initially investigate a water leak and it was promptly determined during the visit that the unit cannot be repaired and needed to be replaced. At this time, we have reviewed the call in it’s entirety and the ductless unit was documented being in the off position at the end of the call while the technician gathered information so that we could provide a price to replace that unit. Unfortunately Angie's List does not allow companies to post photos but the ductless unit is mounted extremely high up on the wall and drains outside. The wall that the ductless unit is on was not wet and we have pictures documenting as such. Again, we are sorry for the experience you had."
"We are extremely disheartened by this review. The customer had called for no hot water on 8/12 and Tony was sent out on 8/13 and determined that the roll out switch needed to be reset for the boiler. The customer also mentioned a leak related to his AC system while Tony was there, and Tony recommended a tune up so that we could evaluate the system. The customer was given pricing for all parts of the call and agreed and wanted us to set up the regular maintenance appointment, which occurred the same day. During the appointment we found that a drain was cracked and some additional repairs needed to be made to ensure no issues later on. The initial call to check for no hot water was discounted 30% from our regular labor rate, which was communicated to the customer at the time of the service. The customer reached out via email to which we responded noting that we had already reduced the rate for the first call and he continued to email asking for the balance to be reduced. A balance remains on the account. We truly aim to satisfy our customers and try to go above and beyond, particularly by addressing his needs within 24 hours of calling our office. Again, we are very saddened by this as we only aim to do the best for our customers."
25-year old compressor gave up right at the beginning of a hot spell. After a small gap in communications (which I'm sure glad we worked through), Tony came over and gave good feedback, and I knew he was a good guy based on the conversations (and the good reviews here). He walked through the options clearly with me which were on-par with other contractors. Overall I liked Tony's unassuming personality. His price also beat out the 2 other contractors I had quotes from. Plus, he listened to my appeal (kids having difficulty sleeping without AC) and looked to work us in within a few days. Once his team showed up, they were clean (rugs down, etc) and professional. Worked through the installation for a number of hours (including coordinated delivery of the new compressor & coil) and when they hit a small issue late in the process, Tony came over and resolved quickly.
If I was in any doubt as to whether to use Aquila for my HVAC maintenance going forward, that was put to rest when - just last week - the same unit would not turn on. I was at work when my wife called, so I tried to work her through the potential issues (trip-switch, etc), but to no avail. I called Aquila and Dave quickly told me someone would be over a few hours later. I went home from work anyway as was convinced it might be something simple, and sure enough, found that a kid who had been staying with us the day before had found his way into the basement and tripped the manual shut-off switch on the handler! Point being: (a) no problem with Tony's work, and (b) one of his guys knocked on his door 10 minutes later (I wasn't able to get the message to them on time).
Great responsiveness, quality, price and professionalism. Wish all contractors would be this good!
He introduced himself and immediately got to work on my central air conditioner.
The problem with my fan was found right away and he got a new part out of his truck and replaced it
Ricardo was very professional and explained what he was doing and why.
The temperature is 95 and humid today so the work had to be done but the only concern I have is that he did not know how much the part was and I have to wait for an invoice from the company to find out what the entire cost of the job was.
Hopefully it wasn't too expensive...it would have been nice to know before he replaced it.
