The work went very well. Mike came out to measure the home when we were ready to do so and provided several cost-effective options for us to chose from (as stated this was in preparation to sell the home so we were looking for something clean and simple) 
During the actual work, the installers were very quick and very professional. 2 days total to do the entire home including the 2 staircases. The install work itself is flawless. The stairs came out perfect, the seams are not visible, everything is very nicely taut as it should be. 
Excellent service and work and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

I was very pleased with the overall experience with Carpet King. I was inclined to resign to using Empire because I didn't want to pay a premium price (which we had done in other parts of the house for higher quality carpet) for what is ultimately a basement playroom. That said, I hate the idea of using a big-box if I don't have to. A little research led me to Carpet King in Norwalk. Bobby assisted me over the phone, was very helpful, not pushy and able to come out and give me an on-site quote that accommodated my schedule that week. He lugged a few samples based on what I had described and one of them happened to be the exact match we were looking for (all these places use their proprietary branding so it's hard to directly compare, just like mattresses). 
Bottom line, he confirmed stock the next day, did even better on the price after double checking on what he could do, and had the crew out for installation about 3 weeks later as promised (we didn't need it installed right away, so the timing worked well). 
I'd use them again and recommend them to anyone who prefers to go local over big box. 
And by the way, I'm a real pain and hard to please, and my wife is even more discerning, so if we were happy, I suspect most people will be.

The purchasing process was extremely easy. They were knowledgeable and the install took place within a week.

Carpet King recently installed hardwood floors in two rooms (master suite and dining room) and the upstairs hall of my home, as well as installing new carpet in two bedrooms, and a custom runner down the main stairs.Overall, I was very happy with both the service and the quality of the work.Initially, I had some reservations because quotes didn't come my way at the time they were promised, but I was up-front about my concerns with Steve at the Fairfield store, and from that point forward he was responsive in every way and all of the other stages of the job were done either on or ahead of schedule.We got a lot of good information at the store, and Steve spent a lot of time with us going over our options and the standard lines they carry. After doing more homework on our own (which I recommend to everyone, because flooring isn't cheap), and comparing prices, we specified the materials and brands we preferred, which they were happy to order for us, even though they weren't their standards. Even with that, Carpet King's final, accurate price was fully 20% less than a competitor's estimate (which was sure to have gone even higher with an accurate measure).We had a small window of time to get flooring installed before moving into the home, and expressed the problems that delays would cause to Steve. Once we had our price and materials nailed down, he immediately placed the necessary orders so that we could get everything shipped and installed in that timeframe.The installers did a great job, working quickly for two long days in hot weather and did a very clean, professional job.Overall, we're happy with the service, the products, and the installation.

THE CARPET KING STAFF WERE VERY EFFICIENT. THE MEASUREMENT WERE ACCURATE. THE INSTALLERS WERE CAREFUL OF THEIR SURROUNDINGS WHEN CARRYING THE CARPET THROUGH THE HOUSE AND UP THE STAIRS.
