Description of Work: They removed a tree off my house.

Description of Work: I had a huge obtrusive, overgrown pine tree cut down in the corner of my yard. It was close the power lines on the street as well as to my house and already had a large limb break off and block the whole street after it took out the power.

Description of Work: I reached out to them looking for someone to treat scale on my magnolia tree after another company failed to respond after repeated attempts to follow up on their recommendation after treatment last year. Urban responded to my email within a couple of hours. While they don't do the work I was looking for, they made a recommendation of someone to call. I appreciated their prompt response and the few minutes they took to talk to me about the situation and to recommend next steps and another place to call for assistance.

Description of Work: They removed and grounded the stumps for a large oak tree that was close to the house, as well as a smaller one. They also removed some underbrush and cleaned up the mess in my back woods.

Description of Work: First I received an estimate on my front tree and a back tree. I had them return twice for the estimate because I changed the scope of the work. I worked with Les and he was very friendly, helpful, and patient. I then had the crew remove all lower branches from a large tree in my front yard to raise the canopy of the tree. I spoke with them before they began their work and they were very polite and helpful. When all of the work was done they raked the shavings, picked up the area, and left the yard in the best condition they could.

Description of Work: I have used this company in past and was satisfied with work. I called back last year to get quote on removing tree(s) over-hanging house. Expensive and didn't have the funds at that time. After October 2011 storm, we had heavy damage to these trees and called them to see if they could give me another quote. Much of one big tree was on ground so wanted to know how much it would cost now. Also, they wouldn't have to haul it away as town was picking up storm debri. I told them one of the big limbs broke off and was still attached to my tree but also covered half my neighbor's yard. I said the neighbor needed a quote to see what it would cost to get it removed. I was told I had a quote from last year so I knew what it would cost. i said, yes, but I wanted a new one as it's not the same now. He also said he wasn't doing quotes so he wouldn't do the neighbors. I said but the limb is still connected to my tree, so if you do mine, then wouldn't you just continue to do thier's too? I said we just want to get this done before their is more damage. He said he was too busy, no quotes, I should have done the work when I called him last year. Sitting here after a week of no power, a yard full of debri, and large limbs broken and hanging over house, that's probably the last thing I wanted to hear. It was the old. "who's in charge now!" attitude. I found his approach to this very unprofessional. Here he has a customer he has done work for in the past,. I have given him a good review on Angie's list, didn't have anyone else do the work he quoted me on, and would have hired him for this job. I understand he had a lot of calls, but to treat a customer this way, I think not. Found another guy from a neighbor, who showed up the next day, gave the quote, and came back day after that to do work. He said they were extremely busy, but he understood our concerns about wanting to get trees removed that were a safety hazard. This company did a great job, took down two large trees in front and three small pines in back and removed giant limb from fence. They did all this for the price Urban Forester quoted me to remove one tree in front. They also did the neighbor's yard same day. I have them coming back to remove very large Sugar Maple in back that is over-hanging house. All I can say is, everybody can be good when times are good but their true colors show when things are not so good as like what happened with this freak October storm. As they use to tell me when I was in the Navy, "one screw up cancels out ten "'atta boy's". I will never call this company again.

Description of Work: I used Urban Foresters, LLC and they cut down a lot of very tall pine trees. One job was done this past January and the previous job was last August and they took more pine trees.

Description of Work: Pruning of 8 trees and removal of 3 trees to make room for pool. Trees were in open, easy to drop. Pruning was a little tricky as some of the limbs were pretty large and near structures. Stump grinding included.
