All American Waste, LLC

We were a new business and had no concept of what waste removal should cost. We trusted the individual that signed us up that the price was competitive and that the contract was more of a guideline. He said we could cancel whenever we wanted. It didn't take long to find out that Latella Rubbish Removal was charging less than 1/4 of the price and providing equal or better service. We called to cancel the contract and were told that if we cancelled it that we would have to pay half of the entire duration of the contract or they would sue us (other new businesses in my complex had the same issue and paid the fee)! We started having problems with them not showing up on the appointed day. At one point I started taking photos of the condition they were leaving our dumpster. It was very crooked and the lid was jammed into the ground so that we couldn't close it. Thieves were constantly dumping their trash in our dumpster because we could not lock it or close it. I sent photos in and they did correct the issue after two more times of it being emptied. The service afterwards has been impeccable. That said, Latella has agreed to do the same thing without a contract for less than 1/4 of the price. I got a few other quotes and every single one of them came drastically lower than All American Waste. I realize they took advantage of a 20 something that had no experience with trash removal. My salesman, Gavin B, of course was no longer working for them when I told them to speak with him and that he would vouch that he agreed to cancel the contract. Overall, I know they can provide great service, but be very careful working with them. They have renewing contracts that require 90 days notice of cancellation (why?) and they won't hesitate to threaten you and sick their lawyers on you. I for one would never recommend them. I want to work with a human company that is honest and fair. I made a mistake working with them, but I won't do that again. If you are fine with contracts that renew automatically for 3 year periods after a 5 year initial contract and you can negotiate a decent price then I don't know that I would say they aren't a good choice, but you need to be careful.
