Been having issues with my '04 volvo, felt like the engine was working on half capacity. I consider myself pretty handy with cars so after popping the hood and cleaning the spark plugs and checking connections etc. I was still at a loss. A friend told me about Aand M who are the volvo specialists. So I gave them a ring and they got me in right away. The owner van was very kind and courteous and pulled my car in and popped the hood. Like a surgeon he carefully inspected the engine with a flashlight based on the diagnostic read. Before I knew it he identified the problem and even brought me over to explain it to me and show me what he found! it was a hairline fracture to the ignition coil that cased two of my four cylinders to misfire (ie. half capacity) Talk about transparency! I guess I could have waited near the office but I am the curious type and Van didn't mind me observing. I also noted to him that when I previously worked on the engine I must have misplaced one of the bolts for the engine cover and Van just popped another one in, no questions asked and at no additional charge!
Key item to note is that Aand M only does volvos. and they are really good IMHO at what they do. They are a small shop so I'd call ahead.
