Signed contracts on 10/16/13 for replacement of new roof and vinyl siding. Roof project was supposed to start first week in November but was delayed a week or so and was finally completed on 11/15.
The siding job was to start on 11/25 and completed by 12/25. This is where Mario kept delaying the project (citing weather, materials not in, etc) and we kept communication (I had to call him on EVERY occasion, but he did respond) through December, January, February, March.....continued problems (health) and weather kept the delays (so I thought)
Received word last week from Joseph Smarrelli, owner, that Thermo Seal is closing shop and filing Bankruptcy!! I'm out more than $10k on the contract deposit
If anyone has any business dealings w/this company pending please take note......we're all out of luck (and $$)
So unfortunate that I actually took them at their word for the delays (it was a horrible winter) and now have no legal action available (after filing for bankruptcy)....don't know how I can trust a contractor again (at least I now know that my next one will be bonded and take credit card)
