+ -1 moreHe started out showing up only a little late but that went downhill as the job progressed. He would promise to show up on a certain day at a certain time and then not show up. He always had some excuse for not showing up. He is good at installing cabinets. I would not recommend him for anything at this time due to his failure to perform the services outlined in the contract.
Description of Work: Complete remodeling of a small bathroom. Removed old tub, toilet, vanity & counter top, medicine chest, and exhaust fan. Installed a new shower enclosure and all other new equipment. However, when he received the agreed upon money for the job, he never came back to finish it. He left two holes in the wall, one above the shower head and one below the medicine cabinet, several patches in the walls were not completed, the shower temperature control valve was installed too far into the shower and would not seal against the shower wall creating a leaking joint. He failed to caulk along the shower base to floor joint and failed to caulk along the counter top joints. I had to have another contractor come and cut into the bedroom wall to access the temperature control valve to align it properly. Repeated phone calls and text messages to Ken Kurland were not answered or responded to. A complaint filed with the Better Business Bureau went unanswered.
