"We do apologize that our service did not live up to our client’s expectations. Review of our file shows when the move was originally called in, the client requested 3 men and one moving van for a small local move. At that time it was our understanding the client was going to pack all her belongings. As the move date approached and in further discussion with the client, we did send a counselor to preview the move. At that time, based on our discussion with the client, we planned on packing 46 cartons and the client was to pack 156 cartons. The move was then scheduled for one day of packing, one day of loading and one day for delivery. On packing day, the Saturday before the move, our crew packed 39 cartons and were under the impression at that time the client would finish the rest of the packing, over the weekend. On load day our crew arrived on time and immediately called for additional packing material and additional labor. The client is always right and clearly here there was a misunderstanding about who was to do how much packing. On loading day we ended up packing an additional 82 cartons. We knew the job was stressful, because the house was not at that time ready to be moved. Again, we apologize for any confusion. In retrospect had we known there was that much packing to be done, we would have asked the client for an extra day to perform the job. For the record, in light of the difficult loading situation, we did not charge any overtime. As to the damage, as of this writing no claim form has been filed with our carrier. The client is welcome to file a claim, but as of yet none has been filed. Again, we apologize for any misunderstanding and that our service did not live up to the client’s expectations."
