we had damage to our sunroom, bay window and roof from ice over the past winter. they came to my house to look at the damage so they could make the repairs. showed them the damage. I was asked to send them copies of the building permit for the sunroom so they could understand the construction of the room along with the insurance claim. they also got an estimate from a roofer that they contract out. everything was fine up to this point. I knew they would have some issues finding replacement parts for the sunroom. a few weeks go by and I get a call that they are still trying to find info. now. I spent $50 bucks to fax them everything. entire 12 page detailed permit and 18 page insurance claim so they had everything. next thing you know, no response. I at least wanted the roof to get done before winter. called several times with no response. left messages with the person answering the phones and voice messages. never gave me the estimate for the roof, nothing. now its December. I found my own roofer and located the manufacturer of the sunroom myself as I found this info on the permit I sent them. now my roof is getting done and the sunroom will be taken care of after that. no thanks to Fire Tech. maybe it was too hard for them I don't know. maybe someone stole all the phones. you would think that a company that handles major fire and water damage claims would be able to tackle this with no problem. guess not. its a great feeling knowing that you basically took a $50 bill and just threw it in the trash. and thank you for causing me a delay in repairs that now have to be done in the winter because a phone call back was too hard for you. simply put. DO NOT RELY ON FIRE TECH.

I was so happy with their work that I had them update my outdated kitchen a year later and it came out fantastic. I would highly recommend

They gave us an estimate, which was based upon them having seen that we had extra siding stored in our garage. They did not bother to note that there were certain pieces that we lacked. They left a phone number that I should call if I wanted them to do the job. I called the number the next day and the woman on the other end of the phone told me that they would do the job, but they wouldn't be able to schedule me until two months later. I was a bit shocked, but I agreed. I asked if I needed to do anything else and I was told that I did not have to do so. I waited and waited. November and December passed. January came and I waited and waited some more. Finally, January ended, it has been two and a half months and their estimated time of when they would do the job passed without them making any effort to contact us. I contacted them and they told me that they had not bothered to schedule a job because I did not fill out their paperwork (which they had never sent me). I asked if they could do anything and they replied that I would have to wait another two months. I said I would need to discuss this with my wife and asked them to hold. They just hung up on me, which was just as well, since they were amazingly rude, in no way professional, seemed to lack any sort of expertise or even the ability to interact with other human beings. I am usually a big softy and pretty easy to please. I rarely give a contractor a grade below and A and I have almost never had occasion to give a grade below a B. Partly, this is because I use Angie's List to good effect. Partly, it is because I'm usually able to communicate effectively with the people I hire. This, however, was a uniquely horrible contractor and a uniquely horrible experience. You could argue that they were responding in the wake of one of the worst natural disasters the region had seen in many years, but so were all of the other contractors I had to hire (windows, carpenters, roofers, plumbers, electricians and others). I gave all of these other people As. Firetech is just a lousy company.

I was pretty pleased with the work that was done. The painters were excellent and did a beautiful job. The only complaint I have was that they were not in any hurry to get the job finished. My insurance was paying for it so instead of the job being done in March like I was told they did not finish until late April.
