I had a lot of work done this year which is why my cost was so high. What I like about this company is that I always talk to the owner (Mark) when discussing the jobs and he does a great job of explaining the work that will be done. I sense that Green Turf does good honest work and only charges what is needed to stay in business. I have talked about the costs of their service with them.
For the spring service, the guy (Steve) working was here for over 2 hours and yet they didn't charge any extra. The backflow preventer wasn't working properly, and I had them come back to install a new one. The prior one was in really bad shape and was of an odd design.
So a week or 2 later, Steve came back and installed the new backflow preventer. It took over 2 hours for Steve to install the new backflow preventer but I was charged for 2 hours of labor, which was what I was expecting. The new one is much simpler and of higher quality. It does the job very well. It even has a faucet that I can attach a hose to which is nice.
Shortly before or after Steve installed the backflow preventer, he installed a the new Hunter Pro-C controller which I am very happy with. This labor was uneventful. It only took an hour or so.
