Orkin Pest Control

I had noticed some minimal mouse droppings behind our oven in the kitchen and immediately called Orkin to have someone come out and help solve the problem.  When I first called I was routed to what seemed to be a call center where they set up my first appointment and payment.  My appointment was scheduled for a time frame somewhere between 10-12pm, so I took my dogs to daycare to make the appointment go quickly and smoothly.  The Orkin "professional" didn't show up until about 3 o'clock and made me feel uncomfortable the whole time.  He commented on me being attractive and asked when and where my husband worked to include what days/times.  Very uncomfortable for me! He did poor "pest control" which included stuffing a couple of holes with steel wool and setting some cheap wooden mouse traps (in areas that we didn't even have mice in...)  He handed me my contract and I signed (keep in mind I'm pregnant and home alone so I was not about to argue with him about the services he provided and at this point just wanted him out of my house).  I read over all of the contract info. after he left and noticed it said he provided services that he never actually did while he was here and I know this because I followed him around the house the whole time.  I called Orkin to complain and cancel the contract (12 months) and was greeted with horrible rudeness and not an ounce of professionalism.  The girl argued with me about why I wasn't satisfied and that I wasn't letting them solve the issue.  She continued to be snarky and talked back so I ended the call.  I ended up canceling my credit card so that they could no longer charge me and will NEVER use or recommend Orkin again.

They are very effective at keeping the pests out of my house.

They seem to do a great job for me. The price is not too bad. I pay $100 every couple of months. I guess the price is reasonable for the service I receive. They come on a regular schedule. I am never there when they come.

They were terrible.  They charged $100 for a month for preventative spraying which totals $1,000 for a year. They show up while you are not home so I am not even sure if they are performing the work.  I did meet one of the employees and I found he talked more than worked. It was not helpful nor worth the money. I would not recommend their services at all. They were expensive and did minimal work for the price.

THE COMMUNICATION WITH SETTING UP AN APPOINTMENT WAS NOT GOOD. THE PERFORMANCE OF THEIR WORK WAS FINE AND EFFECTIVE. IT TOOK US THREE TRIES TO GET THEM TO COME OUT AT A TIME THAT WE WERE ACTUALLY HOME. THEY JUST LEFT A NOTE SAYING THAT THEY CAME.

I WOULD TELL ANYONE THAT HAD A SERIOUS PROBLEM, LIKE WE DID WITH MICE TO REALLY MAKE SURE THAT THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE GETTING INTO, BEFORE THEY ENTER INTO A YEARLY CONTRACT. I FEEL THAT WE WERE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF, AS FAR AS THE PRICE.

IF YOU HAVE A PEST PROBLEM THEY WILL GET THE JOB DONE. THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL AND KNEW WHAT CHEMICAL TO USE. WE HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH ANTS AFTER JUST ONE APPLICATION.

AFTER 12 YEARS OF THEIR SERVICES, I ENDED UP WITH THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLARS WORTH OF TERMITE DAMAGE. I WAS VERY DISGUSTED AND DISSATISFIED WITH THEIR RESPONSE AND TREATMENT TOWARDS ME. I GUARANTEE THAT I WILL NEVER HIRE THEM AGAIN.
