It went very well!! Sal is a professional. He accommodated my busy schedule by coming on a Sat. He did the work in a smartly and communicated what he was doing all along. I did not compare prices, hence rated the price factor as N/A., I went by the reviews and glad with my choice :)

The experience using Garofalo Electric can be summed up in one phrase: ?Sal is courtious, fair, and skilled bryond expectation.? He was a true professional throughout the entire process ? from supplying a detailed and reasonable estimate, to showing up on time, to carefully planning how to accomplish all we asked in a way that would require minimal patch repair when compleded. And while it is not his ?job? to do so, he gladly provided advice, assistance, and even some materials to help us begin the proicess of repairing the few access holes that needed to be cut. Sal was also dillegent regarding the respect of our property and working as cleanly as possible. He was in-and-out in just under 2 days (after he vaccumed and cleaned his work areas) and the only sign that he was here is the now beautifully hung and operating light fixtures that brighten our home. We are so GLAD we called hinm for an estimate!

Great job....helped me move things out of the way and put them back, even swept up after himself after I told him he really didn't need to. Put tarps down where he was walking in and out of the door. Very pleasant and we'll definitely use him in the future!!

I needed an electrical panel replaced in my condo, as I'm about to put it on the market. I found Sal's profile on Angie's List and was impressed by the reviews. He got right back to me, came right out for a consultation, and was very professional and knowledgeable. He did an excellent job and left my place immaculate. The price also fell within my budget. Moving forward, Sal will be my electrician for all my needs. Highly recommend!

When I first contacted Sal,he answered the phone himself; I described the job and we arranged a tentative date for the work. When that date arrived, I had to call Sal to see if we were still on. He remembered our conversation, but said he couldn't do the work that day (it was two days before Thanksgiving). So we rescheduled for Dec. 3 and arranged to meet at the house at 10:30 am. I arrived at the house at 10:30 am and did various jobs while I was there. But no sign of Sal. He called (not sure of the exact time, but think it was approximately 1 pm) to ask if we were still on. I said yes, but that I had to leave at 3:15 pm to meet my son on the school bus. Sal said he thought he could finish the job in time and would be arriving in shortly. He arrived approximately one hour later and went right to work. His work exhibited a high level of professionalism and thoroughness. He's also a very nice guy. And I was on time for meeting school bus.

The job went very well, and I am very pleased. Sal was prompt, knew what he needed to do, and got right to work. Because of the age and lack of capacity of my circuit breaker panel, Sal had to replace it. He installed an excellent replacement, complete with a cut-over for the generator and six extra slots for future circuits to be installed. The wiring in the new panel is MUCH more organized than the old one; Sal did a great job in both keeping it neat AND labeling it clearly. He also installed a 30amp outlet on the outside of the house so that I can plug the generator into it, and set me up with a 25-foot, 30amp extension cord- everything I need to run my home off of my generator in an emergency. When Sal was finished with the installation, he walked me through how to use the transfer switch to power the house from my generator. He was very thorough, and did a great job of explaining how the whole system works. He even swept up the entire work area, and left it cleaner than it was when he arrived! I found Sal on Angie's list in 2012, and hired him to install a new circuit for an electrical outlet in my basement. He did a great job, and was my first choice for the new circuit breaker panel and generator transfer switch. I have already recommended Sal to a few of my friends who are looking to have electrical work done. Sal was very professional. He did all of the work he was contracted to do in a timely manor and cleaned up afterwards. He communicated well with us and his work passed inspection by the town.

The previous electrician was one we contracted through Angie's List. He had previously installed a new ceiling fan without any problem. We don't know why the job went so poorly; it was major (connecting a new generator), and he seemed to know what to do. But there were problems from the start. (I have misgivings giving you his name for fear of his retaliation.) He didn't come when he said he would; he gave us a quote for the work which, according to Mr. Garofalo, (when I showed him the contract) was at least $500. in excess. When I questioned the cost (He had told me an hourly rate, but charged far more than the time would have warranted,) he stormed out of our house. He would not respond to our requests to complete the job, which is why we hired Mr.Garofalo. Thinking that our Electric Dryer was broken, (it wouldn't work) we called in an appliance repair person who said the problem was not the dryer, it was the connection for the generator that was the problem. That is when we called Mr. Garofola. Thus, we had to pay the appliance repairman and the new electrician their fees, in addition to the overcharge for the generator. Mr Garafalo was a very nice repairman; We will call him again when we need work. He was friendly, explained everything clearly, and did the work without incident. I appreciate finding him on your list.

Called Garofalo electric listing on Angies, Sal answered right away and was at my house 2 hours later to do work. Very professional, cleans up and makes sure things are working before leaving...would definitely use Sal again.

Sal was a complete professional throughout the process. He came out to give an estimate for the work, completely describing exactly what he would be doing and making a recommendation of how large of a generator that I would need to run the circuits that I was interested in. Once I purchased and received the generator, Sal scheduled the work for a couple of business days later. He arrived promptly when he said he would. I added the request for an additional GCFI circuit and outlet at the last minute and Sal had no problem adding it to the work he was doing (at a reasonable additional cost). The work went quickly and after completion Sal performed an end to end test of the generator - simulating a loss of street power and working with me to explain step by step how to engage the generator safely. We also tested all of the circuits to make sure that they powered the areas that I wanted them to. Sal completely cleaned all of the work areas and left me ready to face a potential power outage (2 weeks before Sandy hit!). I have already recommended Sal to several coworkers who are interested in having generators installed. I would recommend Sal without hesitation to anyone who is looking for a professional, talented, and customer-focused electrician.

Called to install ceiling light/fan and closet lighting. Made an appointment to come within a week. Arrived and gave a good estimate. I was happy with the price and he came fully equipped to do the entire job. Everything came out good and the work was very professional. Very happy with responsiveness and the work. Will call him again in the future for any electrical needs.

He was very responsive to my call and arrived on time to perform the work. He was very polite and friendly and did a very nice job installing the transfer switch. I would definitely recommend him for electrical work.

Workmanship and quality was first rate.Only pit fall was that he showed up late and without the permit. I made him get the permit before starting any work.

Mr. Garafalo returned my call promptly. Listened to what I needed done and gave me a price. On the day of service Mr. Garafalo arrived early and went right to work. He was professional, polite and personable. He worked neatly and left the work area as he found it. There were no hidden costs or additions to his estimate. We were very please with all aspects of this service and would most certainly have Mr. Garafalo back again and also would recommend him highly.

After Sal hung the UTS, connected it to the panel, and ran the wire to the outside wall, I programmed the UTS and we turned on my generator to test that the UTS would switch from utility power to generator power. It worked fine. Even though it took Sal longer than the two hours he had estimated, he did a good job and I would hire him again.
