Could not have gone worse. Below is a letter drafted before contemplating legal action: Sky Properties 7/25/2018 35-37 Hubbell Ave. Ansonia, CT 06401 To whom it may concern: As you know your company installed a new roof at my house in the late fall of 2017. In addition, you subcontracted the gutters out to Dan Loyens at DLC gutters LLC of Derby, CT While I was extremely satisfied and happy with the work you did on the roof I could not be more disappointed in the work DLC gutters did. I have made this known to you on more than one occasion and on multiple occasions to the owner of DLC gutters, Dan Loyens. The problem with the gutters is that they simply do not function correctly. They are leaking an extreme amount of water and I am getting water in my basement during heavy rainfalls which is causing damage. I provided Mr. Loyen both pictures and videos. Over the last 7 months several attempts have been made, both through phone calls and texts, to rectify this situation with Mr. Loyens. Approximately 4 weeks ago DLC gutters installed splash guards on the gutters thinking that this would resolve the issue. While it did solve the problem on one gutter I'm still getting excessive leaking on all the others. Last week I had a conversation with Mr. Loyens to set up a time for him to come out and finally rectify this problem which is now approaching 8 months now. As of today I have not heard back from him regarding a set time he is going to fix this problem. As such, you and Mr. Loyens have left me no choice but to pursue alternative actions to resolve this situation. cc: Dan Loyens
