Pool and Spa Servicing
$1,000
I paid Swimm Pool and Patio to winterize my pool and maintain it over the winter. I then tried to contract them to open the pool for the summer. I repeatedly asked for confirmation for when the service technicians would arrive so that I could be here for their appointment. I was never notified. I returned to my home to find a notice on the door knob that they had been there and left because they could not get in. I called the office and was transferred to the owner, Mark Swimm, who was rude and belligerent on the phone. At first he told me that the technicians had already opened my pool last Friday. I asked for a description of the work they had done and he began to recite a list of actions they had supposedly taken beginning with removing the winter cover. When I told him that he was mistaken because I had removed the cover myself over the weekend, he became defensive and belligerent and went on a five minute rant about how he had no time to listen to my snippy answers and if I was having a bad day I should hang up and call my wife to yell at her. Then, he ended with an ultimatum.. I could shut up or go find another pool company.  This was the OWNER of the company. I congratulated him on having a robust enough business that he felt empowered to treat his customers with such disdain. He responded with a singsong sarcastic "have a nice day" and hung up on me. ALL of this because I had the nerve to expect to be given notification before his servicemen came to my home to access the pool equipment in my basement and the gall to expect an honest report that the work I was being charged for was actually being completed.
