My Mother hired Steven Gidley's company to repair our chimneys and they did an excellent job! It got a bit complicated (no fault of his or his company) but the repairs were completed on schedule and fixed the issues we were having with our fireplace. I just want to say thank you and sorry for the confusion on my mom's behalf. She was being unduly influenced by one of my siblings.

On time and on budget. Refreshing when a contractor responds quickly and communicates.

This company is very professional and they deliver exactly what they promise in the contract. The interior paint job on my home looks amazing.

Project involved chimney repair, roofing repair and siding repair. SG and his team provided a detailed scope of the project, diagnosed the issues once they got a look underneath, and kept us updated as to anticipated timing. SG coordinated masons, carpenters and painters. At the end of each day, his team cleaned-up the work site, coiled hoses and cords and stored ladders etc. out of sight. Very professional. Matching the cedar shingle siding of the repaired areas to the remaining areas required some trial-and-error. SG had his team repeat their work until he and we were satisfied that it was just right. Home repair and maintenance is not inexpensive. However, experienced oversight and quality workmanship always represent good value.

Installed a large stone patio for us. Site preparation and all work was carried out professionally and diligently. Project communication was excellent and the result was outstanding.

Very easy to work with

The team did a fantastic job building a new full bathroom on the third floor of my townhouse condo. There was no water up on that level, so it required tapping into water and sewage pipes down below, and running two new electrical circuits from the first floor. The logistics weren't easy, but they found the simplest and least disruptive method possible! Quality across the board was excellent, including the main contractor (framing, tile, cabinets) and the various subs (plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting). Project management of the full team went smoothly - and the project manager (Bruce) took care of contracting with and coordinating access for all the subs. Bruce did an admirable job of letting me know what would be happening each day and who would be showing up when. The project was finished on time as projected. The team did a good job of protecting floors and carpets on the long path up to the third floor, as well as covering affected furniture areas during drywall cutting and repair. Overall, while not inexpensive, I can appreciate the complexity of the job and feel the quality and craftsmanship as well as the execution was worth consistent with the price. I would hire the firm again for other major projects (or minor if they would do them!), they are professional, reliable, and high quality.

Steve is highly professional and very knowledgeable. He did what he said he would do and did it on time, keeping me informed all the way. He fixed a tricky leak in the roof with a step-wise approach that involved the minimum disruption. I would not hesitate to use Steve again.

When my husband came home from work on the first day of total roof replacement, he didn't even realize half the roof had already been replaced. Meticulous work, cleaned property after each day of work - not a trace of construction debris. Very respectful workmen. Was very pleased and have already recommended them to many friends.

Not only does the roof look terrific, with a fantastic warranty, but Mr. Gidley came in with by far the most reasonable estimate. He handled what few speed bumps there were like a total pro. Another roofer saw Mr. Godley's estimate -- a few thousand dollars lower than his own -- and told us to stop looking, we'd found our guy. Now, the job complete, I can confirm he was right. Highly recommended.

To Any One Who is Considering Stephen Gidley as a Contractor, Having been a contractor in an earlier part of my life, I am very particular about who I hire to work for me. Stephen was everything that I required of a contractor. He was knowledgeable about the materials needed, the legal documents required, the time that the roofing would take, and the expenses of the whole project. Stephen was prepared for the possible obstacles, with simple complete answers to all my questions. The foreman, his crew, and the specialists needed for particular aspects of the job all arrived on time. They were polite, descent workers who too

They were very competitively priced against 5 other contractors, showed up in the time-frame that they said they would. Workers were professional and polite. Was not pushed or steered into anything I did not want and finished the job on time. In fact received a call on a Saturday to ask if they could work to finish up on a Sunday. You would not know the day they finished they were here it was so clean, except for the great looking new rood.

I was very happy with Stephen Gidley. He was very professional and informative when we first meet. He finished his job in a timely fashion. What I liked about him is that he is very honest man and I could trust him completly. Alll is workers were also very nice they have been working for him for very long time and they like and respect him very much. I would recommend him to my friends.
