asked the age of the appliance (around 10 years) and asked for the
error code that was being displayed on the appliance (which was F2:E3,
by the way.) I was told that the code given was computer-related, and
likely to be an expensive part to replace. D. Sabini Co. took my
number, and after doing some research, phoned me back with an estimate
of $650 to repair the appliance. I was advised that I would be better
off putting that money towards a new appliance. They do not sell
appliances themselves. Other places I phoned did not ask particulars
about my appliance, and offered to arrange a service call (ranging from
$85-$95 just to show up at my house.) Sabini did not earn a dime from
the time they spent talking to me and looking into the cost of repairs
based my error code. It's the least I can do to sit down and share this
experience with them on Angie's LIst. When I am next faced with
appliance troubles, I will definitely phone them!
After inspecting the oven, he replaced the ignition which solved the problem. He diagnosed the dryer's problem as a bad motor, but suggested that it might be better to replace the old dryer, rather than putting a new motor in it. We appreciate both his technical ability and his professional advice. Charges were reasonable for the services performed.
