I found the leak and called on a Sunday, and Patrick and one of his crew showed up first thing the next day. They immediately diagnosed the problem and performed a temporary fix till they could return with materials. The work on the interior walls/ceiling was meticulously done, including a perfect match to old paint that has been on the walls for years. There is no hint that a 3-foot square hole on the ceiling and a 2-foot square hole on the wall had ever been patched. (While they were there, they even installed a new wireless doorbell for us at no additional cost.) The shingles on the roof were a huge challenge to color-match, but Patrick and his crew stuck with it until we were completely satisfied. The quality of this work, and of all the work they've done for us over the years, has always been of highest quality. But equally important in terms of why we use their services time after time has to do with their honesty, integrity, and pride in their work. The first time we used them we did get competitive bids for the job. Colonial was not the lowest bid, but we felt their emphasis on craftsmanship and quality was worth the extra cost. Since that first time we have used them probably every other year on jobs big and small, and we don't even bother to get other bids - we simply know that they would never cheat us.
Description of Work: We have used Colonial for all 17 years we've lived in Westport; first, when the business was run by its founder George Egan, now by his son Patrick. This latest time was to repair a leak in the roof that damaged the interior wall and ceiling over the front door.
