The company was excellent from start to finish. I called in the middle of the terrible cold snap just after New Years 2018, after being up all night calling several supposedly 24/7 emergency plumbers, none of whom responded at all or else were able to come. In the morning I called Service Stars. The receptionist was very friendly and caring, and seemed apologetic that she couldn't send someone until after 12 noon. With a snowstorm due the next day, I was grateful they could come that day at all! She called me a couple of hours later to say that the technician could actually come about 2 hours earlier if that was okay, and I was very happy to say yes. He arrived promptly and invited me to stay with him as he investigated the problems, explaining everything he was seeing and inferring as he went along. He fairly quickly determined that the leak was unrelated, from an upstairs bathroom sink drain, and got that under control. After some poking around, he also determined that the problem with our downstairs heating unit was just a loose connection where the thermostat plugged in on the wall mount, and took care of that. The big problem was the upstairs heating system with in-attic, air handler, which had a freeze somewhere. Darryl carefully explained the possibilities and options for dealing with it, and how likely it was that the initial fix would work, or the damage might be more extensive, and what it would cost to repair in that case. I agreed to try using their machine for heating the plumbing lines. Before he left to arrange bringing it over, he suggested putting some electric heaters that I had upstairs and he left the attic stairs open to let the warm air circulate up to the attic. When he returned to set up the equipment, he was happy to let me know, and I was delighted to learn, the the system had already unfrozen just from the warmer air circulating up through the open attic stairway, so we were all set, nothing more needed to be done! The total cost was just the $69 service call/diagnostic fee, even though he spent at least an hour between the two visits going from basement to first floor to second floor to attic, examining all the components, explaining to me what was going on, and providing some suggestions to avoid problems in the future. From start to finish both the technician and the office staff were polite, helpful, friendly, caring, and excellent communicators. I could not recommend Service Stars more highly!

They informed us the breaker was bad, when the breaker was swapped out 2x prior. First time by another electrician. They asked $200 (69 for visit + 131 for breaker) to replace a 3rd time. Didn't seem to be a breaker issue, so I told him I'd replace it, and paid him $69 for his visit. As expected, the new breaker did not resolve the issue. Upon callback for followup, their office worker threw false accusations at me about previous calls to them and refused to send their guy back. I called another electrician immediately after, and he resolved our problem, at less than half the cost. Side Note to Office Worker: It is not illegal to replace a breaker in your own home in CT. It should be illegal to charge $200 for a simple job, then to give an attitude about it when refusing service.

We called for a yearly service on a ductless air conditioner.  We knew it had not been done for two years.

The company sent out a consultant, charged us 69 for looking at our system and rebooting it, and told us it needed a cleaning.  DUH!  we already knew that.

To come back and do the yearly service, they want $130 and they can't come until July 3.

I call this a rip off.  69 dollars to say that we need a yearly cleaning.  And we waited 2 weeks for that!

I do not call them service stars.  Service bench warmers.

They promptly arrived even though we called just before normal hours ended. The company was familiar with the condo association from previous calls, and was able to quickly diagnose the problem and restore power to our unit. The fix was described as temporary due to larger issues outside of the immediate power outage needs ... and he didn't want to charge me for additional parts when he knew it was not worth it - that gave me a good respect for this company. After power was restored, he went over everything in detail, showed me photos of the issue/damage, and presented complete paper work to match.

The work took most of the day as described and went without a noticable hitch.  The guys finished on time, cleaned up and the job was done (part 1 anyway).
The old panel and some really old basement shelving needed removing which was done neatly. 
There were two parts to the work.  The new panel and also a new overhead power connection to the house.  The older service was buried but bringing that up to code could cost 10K on our very rocky land.  The new outside pole and connection is neat and simple.  For sure I'd like to burry the cables in the future, not only for asthetics but it protects from falling branches of which there are many around us!
The system also hase a manual cutover capability to use a generator.  I still need to have the guys create an outside connector for the genrator but that will come when CL&P actually gets the new overhead service cutover.
The ServiceStars guys were polite and answered all my questions and had good options for the project.  So far So good, I'd use them again.

STAY AWAY FROM SERVICE STARS IN DANBURY, CT 
I paid this company $100 just to come and look at my ductless air conditioner that had stopped working.  I agreed to this after a couple of troublesome conversations with them because it was the only way to get their attention at all - we were having a heat wave so I tried to understand.  One of the 2 technicians that came seemed to know what he was doing, the other was a trainee.  He diagnosed a leak and quoted a price for the service.  The bigger problem came up when the job he said would take 5 hours took one hour and the additional $700 bill remained the same.  I have asked for a fair bill but have received no bill at all - just a threat for a mechanics lean on my home.  Consider this a warning and try someone else.  I wish I did!

Since this was approved, we came back for the second visit to complete the work but was unfortunately told that you did not want to pay the bill and asked our technician to leave the premises. We reached out to you for several weeks in regards to payment and did not receive a response and had to act with appropriate action. All work that we complete is backed with a 100% guarantee. Overall, they are just a very professional group to work with, and delivered on everything they promised.  Everything about what they did terrific.  Very professional, courteous, fast and high quality work.  Shortly after the install, I had a problem with one of the outlets that had leaked and needed to be replaced - they were right on top of it and reinstalled a new unit ASAP too.  Lastly, Kara in the office is extremely responsive and an absolute pleasure to deal with each time I have called for work to be done - it is such a pleasure to deal with a professional service person who answers the phone or returns a call right away when I am used to calling most contractors over and over to get a response.
