Over 5 weeks, Scalzo came 5 times and each time came up with a new probem.
Call 1: Repairman runs diagnostics and calls tech support. Orders "thermister". +-$150 service call
Call 2: Repairman puts in thermister with no sucess, calls tech support and decides problem is NOT thermister, rather it is the entire contol board failure, a $270 part. N/C for service call
Call 3: Repairman puts in new control board with no sucess. Call tech support who tells him he should have replaced "thermister". Repairman say he "quits" and can't work on machine any further. N/C for service call.
Later same evening, repairman calls to say he thinks he figured out problem, it is a blown fuse and will come next day.
Call 4: Repairman replaces fuse, unit works fine. +-$100
This worked for 1 week, only to have same problem.
Call 5: Repairman removes heating element and says it has failed causing first (and repeated blown fuse issue). Orders element.
Call 6: Different repairman, "Ben" supposedly owner. Puts in element, has no success with unit, calls first repairman who tells him he need to put in new fuse. Puts in fuse, unit works but repairman says he now needs another part, apparently the original "thermister" does not know what it will cost. Wants +-$250 for element and service call and will be charging again for addditional part and service call whan that part arrives.
With no estimate nor any great hope that Scalzo knows what they are doing, we have him remove latest new part and will buy a new machine.
Don't bother wasting your time or money with this company, they seem incapable of diagnosis or repair.
