I called David and he came the next day. Took a lot of time to go through my home and review the report. He also explained the report to me. He agreed that there was nothing alarming that needed to be remediated and gave me suggestions for how to improve my indoor air quality. He was super helpful and put my mind at ease. Though he didn't remediate a mold problem for me, I would definitely call him in the future for an honest and helpful opinion.

David was very honest and I would certainly hire him again if we suspected any mold issues.

It went very well. Called David and told him my situation and concern . He was able to meet with me that afternoon. Gave me an estimate and work was done the following morning. Left the place spotless and alleviated my concerns with the mold issue. Would definetly  use his services again.

David Dear of Puroclean is an exceptionally responsible and caring professional, as were his crew.  They were always on time, honest, helpful, hardworking, friendly and professional.  They were respectful of property and helpful in giving professional advice with regards to contractor referrals and property damage issues.  They were knowledgeable in all aspects of water/mold damage remediation and concerned about homeowners health with regard to mold.  I would definately use them again.

Extremely good service! Punctual & very reasonable pricing. Mold guys usually try to scare the life out of you & charge through the roof--but these guys gave us an accurate estimate of the damage & did not once play the "your kids are breathing poison card!"

I cannot recommend Puroclean and David Dear enough.  When we spotted the mold, we immediately called and David made an appointment for the next morning.  When he was running behind from the previous client, he kindly called and asked if he could come an hour later.   He was professional and very knowledgeable about the subject of mold and how to find it.  As we moved here from another country and are still learning about insurance claims, he explained how we go about making a claim if the mold were to be serious.  After realizing that the mold was contained most happily to a very small area,  I asked if he would be willing to tell me what to do for what I suspected to be mold or mildew in our garage, our bathroom window and a previous roof leak.  He inspected all of them and explained that none of it was mold.  He could have just as easily told me it was mold and charged me for cleanup, but he inspected the house only to find no additional work for himself.  He even answered questions about the best flooring for basements. To my surprise, when I pulled out the checkbook to pay, he said that the inspection is no charge.  Dave drove 35 minutes from Sandyhook, spent an hour examining my house and answering my questions about mold, cleaned up his work area, and then was about to leave with no payment.  I asked to pay.  He was that professional, ethical and kind.  He said if I really wanted to then I could make a gift to his wife.  I was pleased to do so.  Please do contact David.  We all want these kinds of service providers to flourish.

I spoke with the owner same day. He was professional, and took the time to speak with me, even after learning that I reside outside his target area. He referred me to a colleague in my area, also a Puroclean owner, who had the same professional attitude and who provided excellent service. In fact he came out to provide an estimate on the day of my initial call to the Sandy Hook location. I especially appreciated the environmentally friendly techniques, careful attitude re: protecting the rest of the home from potential mold exposure, and professional knowledge (owner in my area holds a Master's degree in Environmental Science).

After doing some research on the internet I concluded this was not a DIY job.  In addition, it became obvious that we needed someone who had training and experience in mold remediation.  There were a number of outfits that claimed they did mold removal work but many of these seemed to be basement waterproofing specialists with little/no experience in attic removal.  I called Dave Dear at Puroclean and he spent about 30 minutes asking questions and talking me through the basic process over the phone.  We set up a on-site visit for 2 days later and Dave showed up on time.  He spent about an hour looking at the attic, further explaining what was entailed in safely removing the mold and promised a written estimate within 3 days.  He sent a very detailed estimate that listed the materials he would be using, number of person-hours required, etc.  We talked through the estimate in detail over the phone and after considering other proposals, decided to go with Puroclean.  Dave scheduled the work to start 4 days later.  He and his crew showed up on time, kept me apprised of progress and finished the project as planned on schedule and at the contracted price.  Dave and his crew were punctual, thorough and professional.  We are extremely happy we decided to have Puroclean do the work.

David Dear, owner, was very easy to work with. I described my problem over the phone, he responded knowledgeably and provided a fair proposal that didn't require a pre-work inspection and set my expectations on what additional charges might be if my own estimate of the scope was off. I did indeed underestimate the work a tad but knew exactly what to expect because of his clear and upfront explanation of the basis for his charges. He showed up on time, performed as specified, and was very helpful in providing the documentation necessary to satisfy our buyer's attorney. Would absolutely use again if necessary and recommend unequivocally.
