We were looking to upgrade our central AC unit to a new heat pump system for both AC and heating (with oil boiler as backup) in order to improve efficiency and take advantage of our solar panels. I received proposals from three companies. Carlos was by far the best in terms of understanding what I was looking for, promptly answering a lot of questions, and proposing the right product for us at a very competitive price. The heat pump is state of the art and the installation had a lot of moving parts - replacing indoor air handler, adding UV filter, coil for backing heating, new control panel for three zones, new smart thermostats, and lots of wiring. Carlos and team got it done in a day and everything is working great. This is an extremely professional and thorough company with great service and a pleasure to deal with, could not be happier.

We solicited three proposals for the replacement of our worn-out home central air conditioner, choosing contractors based on web research. Carlos and Bob made a great first impression, and their knowledge and experience was evident throughout our conversation. Their positive impression was head-and-shoulders above the others, and we decided that we would hire them before we even saw their quote. The quote was competitive, and a few days later, they arrived on time, with our shiny new Lennox units. Since our original Lennox had lasted 27 years, we thought it reasonable to stay with that brand, as recommended by Carlos and Bob. They took full responsibility for every aspect of the project, not leaving any loose ends for us. For example, we wanted modern, internet-connected thermostats with LCD screens, but we didn’t have enough wires in the wall to accommodate the usual models. Carlos and Bob figured out a way to make it all work; creating our Honeywell account, connecting to our internet and getting everything working together correctly. Outside, the pad for our outdoor unit was in sorry shape. Bob went so far as to carefully select individual rocks from our rock garden to properly elevate the new pad, carefully avoiding the appearance of missing rocks from our garden. It actually looks beautiful. At the end of the day, we had a very clean installation, all the wires to the new circuit boards were neatly bundled, all of the duct joints taped neatly, etc. The air conditioner has functioned perfectly from that first day on, with zero problems. Lisa, the office coordinator, handled all the logistical details perfectly, and was very pleasant to work with. It is rare to find people with such a combination of competence, dedication to detail and pleasantness; so I enthusiastically submit this well-deserved positive review. John Cutter Ridgefield, CT

The technician did a great job and knew how to find the problem. He was efficient, thorough and careful. I was pleased with their service and would use them again.

This is a very small company owned by Robert and his wife Lisa. They have only a few employees. The customer service that they provided after the initially installation was very poor. I purchased the system in May of 2016 and paid them in full on 6/16/2016 $8,258.49 of which $7,7727.65 was for the Heat Pump and Air Handler System. On 4/26/2017 I called NEAS to schedule my annual service. They refused to provide service on my new system and told me to go somewhere else. History of Service with NEAS: After I paid them in full, within the first few months my system was making a loud banging noise. I called NEAS and Lisa answered the phone. She was very rude and has poor customer service skills. Lisa tried to tell me on the phone that my system was working just fine, because I could run it on emergency mode and leave it that way forever. She acted like it was not a problem that I had a loud banging noise with my outdoor condenser because she insisted I didn't need the outdoor condenser. Although, technically I could run my system on 100% electric it is not cost efficient and it is certainly not what I expected when I bought this particular unit for the price that I paid. After several months of waiting and several phone calls, my system was fixed. Then on 4/26/2017 (within the first year) I called to set up my annual service appointment and Lisa answered the phone. I could tell on the phone that she didn't want to service my system and she gave me the run around. She didn't come right out and tell me on the phone that she would not service my equipment but she told me she was sure that the manufacture had to service my equipment under the contract. I told her that I didn't have any arrangement with the manufacturer for service. She was sure that I did. She told me she was booked up and could not get me in. I asked her when her first available appointment was and she said maybe late June. I told her that was fine. I asked her how much did it cost and she said $150. I told her that was fine. Then I said I will call the manufacture to double check what she had told me and call her back if I didn't have a service agreement with them.I called the manufacture and was told that they never service the units themselves under any of their contracts and that I needed to have my dealer (NEAS) service it. I called Lisa back and she didn't answer so I left her a message that my friend was trying to call them and set up an appointment for my Spring and Winter cleaning. I asked her to please schedule a date with him and that he would be flexible to accommodate their schedule. I told her I would take the June date and I wanted to schedule my winter appointment at the same time. I got my friend involved because he is an Architect and he works with contractors all day long. Also, I felt that Lisa was giving me the run around. Lisa called my friend and she told him that they had a meeting and they decided that I was too difficult to work with and they would NOT service my equipment. Apparently, Lisa is gate keeper and she calls the shots in the office. Although her husband Robert is a nice man, if you do not get along with Lisa you will have a very bad experience. I discovered that Lisa has done this to another customer and there is a complaint filed with the BBB. Due to the lack of serving their own installations, I can not recommend NEAS.
Response from New England Air Systems LLC
"Dear Ms. [Member Name Removed], We are sorry that you feel that way. However there seems to be a discrepancy with the facts in your review: -Lisa is an employee of NEAS and has been our office manager for the past 10 years. She is not related to me -You neglected to follow the warranty registration procedure set forth by Lennox, therefore your warranty coverage was downgraded to a 5 year parts warranty. The registration information was clearly stated on your contract and is also listed in your owner's manual -The problem you experienced with your Lennox system was a manufacturer issue and of no fault of NEAS as your system passed installation inspection per town codes. NEAS and Lennox did correct your issue free of charge -Based on your irrational and abusive phone manner to our office staff, we have decided to end our business relationship -We do wish you the best of luck with your future HVAC needs"

It was great, furnace stopped working and they came right out and serviced it right away. ended up coming back the next day when something had broke and fixed that right away as well. Worked very very well with my home warranty to pay for the problems. would highly recommend them.

My air conditioner went out one day and I was desperate. I was new to town and did not know anybody. I went to Angie's List, they had several and ldquo;Aand rdquo; ratings, and that is how I chose them. They came out twice in June. Each visit was $200. Then when they left, they recommended that I do something else, and gave me an estimate. We have not had the problem since. They said that it would keep us from having the problem again. I am very happy with it and it was very hot. They were very busy, I called, and they came out two days later. I thought that the price was very reasonable. They were professional, responsive and they did what they said they would. I would use them again.

They arrived on time. Wore booties in my home. Actually cleaned not only the inside but the outside of my boiler-it sparkles now! They explained everything in detail to me and answered all my questions in a way that I could understand. Great Job NEAS! Would definitely recommend them to everyone. They also sent me a thank you note with a coupon towards a future visit-very nice touch. They want a customer for life, not just a one shot deal. Very refreshing to find a company that actually cares about its customers.

THE EXPERIENCE WITH THE COMPANY WAS GREAT. THEY ARE A GOOD COMPANY. I WOULD SAY THEY ARE A B IN TERMS OF PRICE IN COMPARISON TO OTHER COMPANIES AND WHAT THEY CHARGE.
