Great. Jeff quoted our specs, & did an in-house visit. He reviewed the entire project. He made sure Our expecting were realistic, before going on. Everything was clear, & got a competitive price.. We have noisy upstairs neighbors in Condo yelling & loud TV, RADIO,MUSIC & the project helped reduce it by 30-65%. It is hard to be specific without decipel meaning equipment. The cellulose bags say 60%, however Jeff pointed out expect 35%- that honesty, eventhough we got better. If you do a similar job, make sure you understand IMPACT noise, which is not what this project can do. So we are not disappointed, & got what we asked for. The noise was reduced, but not eliminated. This will keep us in a holding spot, in that we might not have to move for now, as moving is very expensive. This kind of improved our quality of life. Our contractor Juan & Dillon were Professional, respectful of our home & exceeded all posted reviews. "Was money paid or were services performed?*-bad question!

the insulation they recommended saved me about 5000kw a year. the amount of money i am saving is far more the insulation payment on my Eversource bill. No money cost to me out of pocket and my electric bill dropped quite a bit. best move i ever did.

Good Life Energy was GREAT! They were professional, so personable, quick, affordable and they did a great job in a very choppy attic with rooms and uneven roofing. They also talked a talk that I was able to verify through online research which I can't say for many of the other companies we interviewed. Would absolutely recommend them again.

The crew was capable, knowledgeable and willing to take the time to get the job done right. This was a fairly large project and not only did they stayed within the estimated time frame, they finished ahead of schedule. Upfront, all was good. The salesperson arrived on time, was very nice and gave us an immediate quote. We were impressed that they called to confirm that they were coming. The workers finished the job in 3 days instead of 2. They had a problem with the machine on day one which was finally rectified on day 3 (apparently they tried to work around the problem on day 2). The bad news: when we went to put our stuff back into their proper places in the garage, we had a VERY unexpected surprise. Behind every nook and cranny, on the walls, in boxes and virtually throughout the garage we found the remnants of the cellulose that was sprayed as well as the fragments of ceiling and wall plaster. We found the cellulose in the webbing of the lawn chairs, on the umbrellas, behind the shelving, on the shelving, and in boxes that we thought were covered. They left painter's tape on the walls, some of which is too high for us to remove. When they initially came, we were told that they would drill the holes in the wall through the middle of the wall. So we cleaned off these shelves. We covered these things with a tarp away from the wall. When the workmen arrived, we asked them if they needed us to move anything else and they said no, they would take care of everything. Much to our surprise, they actually drilled holes towards the top of the wall and obviously did not cover anything. We trusted the workers, who told us they cleaned up after themselves, to have actually done what they claimed. To add insult to injury, one of the workers obviously enjoyed a cup of take out coffee as evidenced by their cup and the drip stain on the wall where the cup overturned. It took us close to five hours to clean up this mess and we really didn't appreciate that when the guys were leaving, they told us they cleaned up. When we looked, on the surface it did look like they had left the garage clean of the cellulose and plaster chips. What we did notice was that the driveway right outside the garage had remnants of cellulose on it but we thought the rain would take care of this. It took us another hour to clean this up. The guys were in a rush to get out since it was about 5 o'clock when they left. But before they left, I was handed a piece of paper to sign to confirm that they had cleaned up. If I had known then what I know now I would never have signed it. I would suggest that any one signing on with the company check very carefully at the end to make sure it is absolutely clean. The company did write back to me to say they were sorry and to offer further cleaning help but by that time it was too late....we had already done the bulk of the work ourselves..

We had a very negative experience. We hired them to blow in insulation by temporarily removing portions of our vinyl siding. A few months later we had our siding stripped and learned that they didn't insulate 4 of our walls. We never would have known unless we stripped the siding. Very disappointed.

Good Life Energy Savers did an outstanding job! We'd like to personally place an extra emphasis on the words "LIFE SAVERS" contained in their company name because they truly rescued us by stepping in at the last minute to handle a time sensitive, labor intensive project originally estimated by a previous company that neglected to factor our job on their schedule, leaving us in a real bind. Thankfully, GLES made us a priority and provided us with a happy ending.

It went extremely well. They showed up exactly when they said they would, told us what to expect, and verified the job for the town building inspector. Very professional and very friendly, and the price was better than most of the other bids we received

We moved into our house in the winter and found out that the 70 year old insulation was quite deteriorated and moldy in the fall. We decided to have the old insulation removed so that we could cut down on heating bills and get rid of the smell. I contacted several companies and interacted with Joe from Good Life as the salesperson. He was kind enough to come to our house twice as the scope of the project changed. Both times, he drafted the proposal right at the end of the visit. His professionalism and the quoted price convinced us to go with Good Life Energy Savers. On day 1, the first crew came to remove the old insulation from the attic and used open cell spray foam to insulate the basement rim joists. On day 2, a second crew came to apply blown-in fiberglass insulation in the attic. Please note that the material they use is not irritant at all. Both crews worked really hard and cleaned up very well after they were done. I was especially impressed with the job 1st crew did to remove the old insulation from the slopes on a cathedral ceiling. My only minor complaint is regarding the patch in the ceiling at the end of the job. The guys used paper tape and there were bubbles all around. I guess they were very tired at the end of the day. Initially, I was planning to paint the room myself to cover the patch. But after removing the paper tape (due to bubbles) and using fiber mesh tape and joint compound, I figured I wouldn't be able to smooth the edges of the patch perfectly and hired a professional. Overall, it is a great company that provides quality job at a reasonable price. With the new insulation, the furnace runs much less frequently and I am pretty sure the job will pay for itself very in a few years.

The folks I spoke with before the job were not clear exactly how ungodly messy this job is. I was unaware until a few days before that I would not be able to stay in my home for several days while the job was done and the foam cured. On the day of the job, the contractors showed up late. On the last day of the job, I was to come and take the keys and lock up. At the agreed time, work was still being done. After the job, there was a walkthrough, and it was apparent to me that the time estimated was not right. I would have gladly paid a little more for additional attention to detail. The fire painting was incomplete and someone had to come back to complete it. There were some smaller areas that were completely missed so someone came back to fill it with the same stuff I can buy at home depot. Then the worst part. The mess. Brand new electrical equipment in the attic. Spray foam all over it. HVAC equipment in attic. Spray foam allover it. Brand new light switches and outlet covers. Spray foam all over it. Tiny bits of spray foam all over brand new door handles. Tiny bits of spray foam on furniture upstairs (which I would have gladly covered had I known what mess this would cause). Spray foam on the hanging light near the great room. Thin film of spray foam on everything -- and they refused to even acknowledge this was their stuff. When I complained, I got nowhere. They replaced some covers with ones that did not match what were in the same room. They replaced the coated lightbulbs. Small stuff. And the cherry on top. Someone was in a hurry and uncovered my 1 year old washer and dryer while the spraying was still going on in the attic. The foam traveled down the area between the ceiling joists and covered my appliances. They came back several times and would not give me insurance information. Some other person contacted me months later, and came out. He offered to "spray paint" the tops and sides. Then he came and SANDED the washer and dryer -- removing the protective coating (i.e. paint) that comes from the factory. He sanded the plastic fascia as well, leaving it scuffed and in worse condition than caked with spray foam. Now, after time, the paint is peeling off. We are down to bare metal in spots on the top of the dryer. Excellent. Yes, the house is less drafty. But the house literally stunk for months, and there was damage to my property and only half hearted attempts at saving money and saving face -- not saving the customer's experience -- were done. I will get more spray foam. I have two other jobs to do. But I would not invite these guys back.

Excellent . The Estimator showed up 2 minutes before the appointed time & after a quick 20-minute survey of the exterior of the house, was able to give me a written estimate. The rest of the job was conducted in similar fashion. The installation crew showed up on time, were competant & courteous & completed job on time. When completed, I was asked to walk the job to make sure the cleanup was acceptable. Not enough "cold" time has gone by for me to comment on the reduction in heating costs but as for the work, this outfit gets my unqualified recommendation.

After 2 freezing winters in my house and trying various unsuccessful “cost effective” fixes, I have decided to spend the money to hire the professionals to stop the drafts in my house. I had gotten several quotes and Good Energy was honest and professional. All the other vendors tried to up sell me on various unnecessary projects resulting in quotes that were 2-3x Good Energy’s quote. Jeff, my advisor, was honest in which he advised I tackle my 2 largest issues first and then wait to see if we needed to do any additional add-ons. There was another Good Energy advisor who came to the consultation. Of all the vendors, he was the ONLY advisor who made the effort to crawl through my difficult crawl space to give me an accurate assessment. Days before the project started, Mike the operations manager made an extra trip to review and fully understand the scope. He also came to my house on the day of the project to walk through the project w/ the sprayer, Lee. We really appreciate Lee for doing an excellent job and not complaining about my extra tight crawlspace. He was very friendly, clean and professional. Many of the other vendors made a big fuss about my crawl space, but Lee never complained. Thank you!

Generally a good experience. We did not review the work/clean-up until after the team was gone and would recommend others do so. Discovered a couple of things that we would have asked them to address had we been on-site at completion.

Install was quick and neat. Noticeable difference in temperature in rooms that now have spray foam under hard wood floors.
