Chris was great when providing the estimate. Answered all of my questions and was very honest. Recommended an Energy Audit which I highly recommend doing to take advantage of the rebates, which I did as well.  They were super helpful and responsive throughout the entire process. They arrived early on they day of insulation. I had new insulation blown up into my ceiling. They had to cut into the ceiling of both bedrooms and did a really nice job patching it back up. I had insulation removed from a large crawl space/attic and new foam insulation blow in. Also had old insulation removed from under my house and new foam insulation blown in. They did a great job and cleaned up very nicely.  I would recommend them  and use them again.

Good Life did an excellent job all around.  They were very responsive to my initial call to set up an assessment and get an estimate.  Mark arrived on time, listened to my request and spent quite a bit of time ensuring I understood the process and the estimate.  After I decided to contract with Good Life, I changed my mind twice regarding the scope of the work.  Good Life was very accommodating to my requests.  They also recommended that I have an energy audit conducted so I could take advantage of rebate offers for the insulation work I was having done. When the day arrived when the work would be done, the team was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable about this process.  They were very careful to not disturb my gardens and, when the finished, they didn't leave anything that wasn't already here.  I was very impressed with the work this team did.  As far as the product, I have noticed a huge difference in the amount of street noise I can hear - it has significantly reduced.  We have had some hot & humid days already and I haven't had to run my air conditioning unit yet.  I expect that I will see savings in the winter as well and my pipes won't freeze.  I am very glad that Good Life is part of Angie's List and that I contracted with them for this work.  I would highly recommend this company to others and would use them again for any future insulating needs I have.

We received an estimate because the insulation qualified for a rebate program.  The sales agent was great to work with.  He took the construction style of the house into consideration.  As an older house, it used the "balloon" technique where the exterior walls were built as one piece from the foundation to the roof.  Instead of injecting the foam into the walls on the second floor, they would be able to simply pour the foam down the walls via the attic.  That effort savings reduced the cost.  Then the day after I accepted the bid and returned the contract, a bulk mailed postcard arrived with $250 off any work.  The sales guy honored it.
It took about a day and a half to complete the work and it was really cold.  The crew cleaned up best they could, given the conditions (it's almost impossible to identify and pick up white paint chips from the snow).  We notice a huge difference in the "draftiness" of the house and our furnace runs less often too.

All this took about 4-5 hours and my out of pocket costs was $75 as the rest was picked up by the Westport community.

"Thank you for the great review. The energy audit was actually performed by our partner, New England Smart Energy Group (NESE) who is also a highly rated company on Angie's list We are the insulation company who upgraded your attic insulation, subsequent to your energy audit. We hope the whole experience was positive for you. Thanks again."

Mark visited our home and performed a detailed analysis of the issue -- a cold area in the living room over a crawlspace. He measured the potential sources of heat loss and demonstrated the problem to my wife -- without talking down to her. He was also happy to address my follow up questions and explain why his recommendation differed from 2 competitors. The crew was punctual and professional. They finished the job quickly and made sure to clean up after themselves. They also filled some extra cracks and holes in the perimeter walls to make sure the work was as effective as possible.

They didn't seal all outlets and walls, which I paid for.
Response from Good Life Energy Savers LLC
"The scope of our work was to insulate the top plates in the attic, as well as installing blown in and dense packed fiberglass in the attic areas. There was no wall insulation included in our proposal."

The sales representative was very professional and made no attempt to hard sell the more expensive insulation products, but respected my preference to stick with existing insulation materials. The pricing was fair and competitive. The administrative staff was polite and prompt on responding to invoicing and scheduling questions. I appreciate the installers for making attempts to inform me that they were running late due to traffic. The installers were friendly and professional in getting the job done. I also think that it demonstrated good customer service and quality control in having the operations manager visit the site to ensure that the installers were performing the job properly. The overall experience was positive and commendable.

They did a good job but they were late in coming and their machines broke down. It really took them longer than they thought it would and their machine broke down when they were doing the crawlspace. It wasn’t spraying the right thing. So they left and several days later, they came back. The only complain I have about them is that they were not on time on the both times they came.

They were extremely professional, helpful, and personable. They showed up on time, with 3 crews, and were very informative and made the overall experience great. We were originally going to insulate the entire house, but it was then discovered that asbestos tiles needed to be removed which prevented the exterior walls from being done. They were very helpful at suggesting alternatives and other solutions which I will follow later at some point. Sales member John also provided follow-up and assistance after he found out about the issue we ran into. All crew members are highly recommended.

The crew came with two large trucks early in the morning. One crew worked on to install tripolymer injection in between the walls for the entire house from outside and the other crew worked open and close cell foam in both basement and attic. They worked very efficiently and the crew leader Mike explained to me very clearly about the whole process before the work get started. Also the project manager John came by to make sure everything is working properly. They repaired any damage they made a couple days later. They did what they say they will do and I am very happy with them. We are having a third heat wave (90+ *F) in NY and I don't have to use AC as much as the year before. Now I am waiting to see how well the insulation will work for the winter. The crew did very nice job and they cleaned up at the end of the day very nicely. All of them were very polite and their professionalism showed. Overall I am very happy with them.

Mark came and took measurements and introduced me to closed vs. open cell foam and to provide a quote.  Very down to earch guy and a reasonable price.
His crew came over and did a nice job on the spray foam - they put it against the rafters, walls, knee walls and such.  Overally pretty clean, but they did not do a great job of covering things, so they destroyed one HVAC grill and some plugs by not taping over it after I had asked them to.
Decent job cleaning up...cannot complain as they put in more foam than I paid for at the end

I contacted Good Life Energy Savers for a quote.  Mark arrived as scheduled, walked the house with me, showed me sample of their products, and gave me a good education regarding insulation products.  He was very experienced and communicated very well.  Mark spent 40 minutes or so measuring the house, examining the exterior, the attic, the existing insulation and made a set of recommendations (options) structured and ordered according to the best bang for the investment with regards to increasing the house insulation R value which could be best recouped in lower heating and cooling costs.  In the end we agreed on 4 things in two sets - first the attic (open cell spray foam) and exterior walls on the main level (tripolymer foam).  I would do this first.  After having this done, I would see if I wanted to further do the exterior walls on the lower level and optionally the garage ceiling.
The team showed up on the install date right on time.  Mike and Steven and the crew first set up by laying plastic down to assure they would not make a mess.  they worked all day and completed on schedule including a great cleanup job - you wouldn't have known they were there.  After a week of living with the new insulation the family was really impressed.  We decided to finish the scope of work I had reviewed with Mark and scheduled the lower level exterior, the garage ceiling, and also the vaulted ceiling in the family room.  Again, the team arrived, did a great job including cleanup, and was very courteous.  I enjoyed meeting them and am now enjoying their work in the form of a much warmer house.

Good Life Energy Savers LLC installed tri-polymer foam in the walls of
our house. The job was done thorough and accurately. All siding was
returned back, the company did interior house inspection prior the
insulation and after it,  to make sure there is no damage.
Prior the job they prepared and covered our door mats and bushes with plastic to avoid a  mess.
They also cleaned everything after their job was complete.
We are very pleased  and happy.
Great Job.
