The many outstanding reviews that Clean Water Man Inc has received can easily be attributed to the honesty, integrity and professionalism of the company's owner Ted Mullen. If, like me, you research the many different manufacturers of water softening systems, you'll read so many varied opinions and claims on what are the best systems that it becomes both confusing and troubling as to which system to purchase. Ted cuts through all the hype without disparaging any competitor. He explains the product and function in simple, logical and practical terms, and without attempting to give himself any advantage. In the final analysis, the advantage is actually dealing with Ted. It's still early in the game, but Ted installed what thus far has been a 1st class system, including a code required dry well, for the same or lower price than what several other prominent companies were asking just for the water softening system.

Ted did a great job. Showed up when he said he would. Efficiently fixed the leak and change the filters on our R/O unit and charged a reasonable price. He also re-started up our water softening system which he had left off in recent years to save water.

Ted was great to work with. He responded to my query via email and asked for pictures of my water filtration system so that he could come prepared with the right parts. He showed up as promised and fixed the problem. He is very knowledgeable and recommended an easy and free solution that took care of some updates we were considering to the system. Based on my experience, I highly recommend Ted for any water related issues you may have.

He's been very responsive and very service oriented. He gave me a discount for calling from Angie's List. He did a great job. We had a problem with the ice standing and other issues. He came out the same day or next day to fix it. He was very personable. He explained everything and seemed to know what he was doing. He provided cost effective options to get the job done. The price was fair and much less than other firms that I had quote it.

They are excellent. One person came out. He was on time and did great work. He was very professional and he did more work than he was contracted to do. He went out of his way to test things and advice you on things. He's an educated and warm person.

Ted was polite, on time, and was very knowledgable concerning all the nuances of a Water Softner system. Ted came and restared the system with no problems. Explained how to properly work and maintain the system and offered to have me call him if I ever needed him if any issue arises.

Ted did an excellent job.  He is very respectful, quality oriented and attentive to your needs.  His pricing was fair, better than the big guys by about 50%.  We had bacteria and uranium in our water.  Ted installed a water softener and UV filter to take care of both of these issues. We also decided we wanted better tasting drinking water so we also had 2 RO filters installed, one in the kitchen and one in an upstairs bathroom. Water now tastes like Aquafina.  After the filters were installed we did notice a peculiar odor.  Called Ted, explained the problem and he was right on it.  He replaced the faulty filter and now we have perfect water.  Thanks Ted.

Provider showed up at the scheduled time for the house water evaluation and did a quote on site to fix our water issues. Showed up on time for the install day, did the work in a reasonable amount of time, then cleaned everything up before leaving. All the equipment is functioning and water quality has noticeably promised. Provider will also come back in a few weeks for a follow up check. 

He's very reliable and thorough and very professional.

Ted was here on a Saturday morning to look at the job and took his time to TALK to us.  After talking to us he keep our best interest in the quote.  He said that he would be here at 10 AM on the next Saturday morning and was here at 9:59 AM.  He worked until he was done and took the time we needed to explain the new parts and what if any maintenance is needed down the road.

Ted was knowledgable and easy to work with.  Showed up on time, did a good job cleaning up and his pricing is reasonable.  I compared with a few other vendors, and Ted had a similar quality system for much less than the others.  I would recommend him to anyone looking for water treatment systems.

Ted was wonderful.  He first came in late June or early July to take a close look at our current well water system, offered a number of options, and scheduled a reasonable appointment to do the work. The day he arrived, it was around 90 degrees, and the crawl space, not yet insulated or encapsulated, was a damp mess.  He rerouted piping to make it easier to service in the future.  He did the work by himself, and it took him from 9 to 5, with no break. We have had our new filtration system for several months now, and we are definitely happy with it. The only thing I needed to fix: one of the pex lines was a bit too close to the main boiler feed. I simply reinforced the support for that feed to create more separation.  I'll be calling Ted to replace the carbon in our filters every year or two, and I'll be happy to do it.  He's a gentleman and a hard worker. Any water filtration issues? Call the Clean Water Man. Seriously. Best in the business.

Ted started with a water mineral test to determine the iron content. He was able to decipher our system, a tangle of hoses, who know what went where. He recharged the tank with fresh minerals. And he boosted the water pressure which made a big difference. Lastly, he clearly explained how the back-wash system operated and programed the timer. I was a good fix, strong pressure and no staining. Ted was personable and patient in explanations, making sure I understood all the issues. Ted will be my go-to man in the future.

I hadn?t had our water softening system serviced in quite awhile and suspected that it wasn?t performing up to par.  The last time I?d had it serviced, I?d been gouged ($39, not including installation, for a set of four o-rings about the size of a quarter) by the company I?d been using, which happened to be the original installer.  I called Clean Water Man.
Ted arrived on time two days later.  As promised, he checked it over and made adjustments to insure optimal performance.  He made suggestions about how to keep things (salt level, etc.) running that way, and even took the time to clearly explain how the various parts of the apparatus work together to soften the water.  He tested the water for softness.  It passed by a wide margin.  
Before Ted left, I mentioned I?d been having trouble finding someone to replace the kitchen sink faucet and the garbage disposer.  I had the parts, but not the labor.  Did he know anyone?  Even though I?d read on AL that Clean Water Man does not solicit general plumbing work, could (would) he do it himself?  He not only ?could,? but also ?did? the job a week or so later, much to my relief once again.  
Clean Water Man?s service is every bit professional.  Ted is fastidious and personable in every sense of those words.  I will call on him again and recommend him to friends and family without hesitation.   I should also mention that Clean Water Man?s fees are well within reason.

Very efficient installation.  Trouble-free.  Water system is working perfectly.  Equipment and installation cost was exactly as estimated.  Good experience all around.
