Terrible service - can’t get anyone on the phone. Finally got someone scheduled to come out and fix it, and they never showed up. They don’t care as they are the only cable in town. Really bad service.

Was told they would call me back in fifteen minutes after I called to complain and they never called back. This is a terrible company and they really don’t care about the customer once they have your money.

Spoke to a customer service rep named Jeff. He was very helpful. Would like to get him on the phone again. He walked me thru each step in a simple format and then gave me suggestions for the future. Good experience.

Cablevision has the best technical support.  It is also easy to contact and get through to what you need.  I take all three services--TV, phone and internet.   Technical support staff have always been courteous, professional and totally helpful.  It is the main reason I stick with Cablevision.  I almost took a chance with Verizon because of special offers and promises of better pictures and fewer outages.  Cablevision does have intermittent problems with losing the picture or other problems, but not that often.   The same is true for internet and phone service.  The reason I did not switch to Verizon is (1) after difficult research (description of exclusions and price hikes in future obscured in fine print), I felt it might not be such a bargain after all; and (2) the wait for customer service was interminable.  I had to hang up and try to call again and the waiting time was still outrageously long.  I compared that to how easy it was t0 get through to Cablevision and how good their technical support was, and it was an easy call to stick with Cablevision.

I have generally been happy with Cablevision.  They have great, local customer service and are open 24 hours/day.
The pricing seems high once promotional pricing expires and the on-screen menus seem dated.  The multi-room DVR service is also slow to respond.
The internet speeds are consistent and we've never had issues with the phone service.  I will continue to use Cablevision until FiOS becomes available.

I have been with them for 30 years now. They are good. I like their local news programming. That is the reason I haven't explored other providers and I don't want to give up the local news program Channel 12 Cable Vision News. They have good quality and it doesn't seem to break down every now and then. We are aware the cable can switch off for unexplained reasons but that does not happen here very often. It costs too much money but I imagine it is the same as other providers. I don't need to have all the channels because I have the bigger package. I think I am getting what I am paying for but there are more than 200 channels. Sometimes you feel there is nothing much to watch in spite of having so many channels to choose from.
