+ -1 moreThe project to renovated our kitchen/great room and build a mudroom started in June 2009. When maplewood builders opened our ceilings... they realized that the prior owners had compromised the structural integrity of the ceiling by removing a load bearing wall. Maplewood came up with a plan to reinforce the ceilings. Because of this unforseen issue, the project took longer than anticipated. I really like that maplewood put a lot of attention to detail (i.e. placement of light switches & electrical outlets, the woodwork (reclaimed wood ceilings and mouldings) looks wonderful. I also like that maplewood really focused on "green" aspects: insulation, seperate zone of heating, etc. We are going to do another project and hope to use maplewood again.
Description of Work: Added a mudroom to our house Completely gutted and renovated kitchen and great room Subcontracted plumbing, flooring, kitchen cabinets, electrical, HVAC. Replaced windows & doors Rebuilt fireplace Reinforced roof & ceiling Installed new ceilings Insulated ceilings and floors.
