The  degree of  difficulty taking the dead elm tree down was extreme due to it's sieze and location. The base of the tree measured  41/2 to 6 feet in diameter and had 3 main leaders branching off at  approximately 6 feet off the ground. The tree was approximately 80 feet tall and was dead - it had died last summer from Dutch Elm disease.
The tree was located in my nephews front yard with the driveway 6 feet to the south of the tree, power lines going to the house 20 feet from the tree to the north, and a well house and the street  power lines to the east of the tree. Branches from the tree were overhanging  all but the street power lines on the street.
Steve and Eric  did an incredible job taking down the tree. Their bucket truck was extended to the max of 60 feet. They were able to tie off sections of branches, cut them and lowered them safely to the ground. Once the upper branches were cut they proceeded  to  cut pieces of the tree-up to3 feet long and from 8 to 24 inches in diameter. These pieces were were also lowered to the ground using a cable  systm that they attached to the tree just  below the section being cut. They were able to drop the last 12 to 18  feet of the tree in large pieces onto the ground.
Steve and Eric avoided  all the obstickles in the air and on the ground. WE now have lots of fire wood.
Steve and Eric were highly skilled, knowledgeable, and professional. They took the time to explain exactly what they would be doing.
For the amount of work done and time spent, their price was extremely reasonable. I highly recommend this company and will definitely use them again
