I paid him in advance initial visit and replacement parts. He showed up 3 times and couldn't repair it each time. He told me that he would call me back when he gets the right tools and replacement parts. That was 3 years ago...never heard back from him and he dodged my calls for 6 months. I gave up.

He came out and pulled our refrigerator out, looked underneath and turned up the controls. He did absolutely nothing to try and fix it. He told us to tap the control maybe it gets stuck. Charged us $75.00 and told us to call him if it was still the same. Totally useless. Think he just likes to make the service call for the money and not do any work. Horrible experience. A week later we called Sears they came out and within 40 minutes our appliance was working. It just needed a new part. If you want your appliance fixed DON'T call Rick.

Utterly USELESS.  DO NOT give him any sort of a deposit.  He has no clue what he is doing.  Showed up 3 times to fix the door ice and water dispenser in my fridge.  The first two times he had the wrong parts and the third time he didn't have a wiring diagram.  Its been 4 months now and it's still not fixed. His last words to me were "Don't call me, I will call you when I am able to come back"...nothing but crickets for the last 2 months!  I wouldn't let this guy replace a light bulb.

Appliance Repair
$225
In August of 2009 Rick came out to replace the heating element in our dryer. Did a quick job, but was very condescending, especially towards my wife. That repair cost $175. Four months later the same issue arose with our dryer and I called Rick to see if he would repair for no cost since it was a relatively short time after the first repair. He came out and said that he could only repair something for free if it was within 3 months. This time he charged me $225 and said that the heating element had gone up in price to $75. (He blamed the problem on my wife not cleaning out the lint screen, which was not true.) I paid but then checked "repairclinic.com" for the part and they had it listed for $12. Five months later the same part broke and we ended up buying a new dryer.

12/12/2007: Made a service visit to repair ice maker in my refrigerator. Said he needed a part. Charged $70 for call plus $50 deposit on part. Said the manufacturer is slow to send parts. Response to several phone calls was that part had not come, or, in April that it might be in the mail. I asked for part number in message with no response. 5/21/2008. I called the manufacturer. They came next day and replaced a solenoid. Quick and pleasant. I called Rick's number twice and asked for my money back. No check in the mail.
