John is honest and very knowledgable in many domains of construction. Even more, he tells you when he does not know something. He allowed us to order vinyl planks from a wholesaler rather than forcing us to use his product thereby saving us money. He was very busy when we first called, but we were willing to wait. We are so glad we did because as a small business owner, he works hard to please customers. When you have his attention, you have his full attention until the job is perfect. We have already asked him back for other projects. Would definitely recommend.

I would hire John again not only because he's talented at what he does and so are the people who work for him but also because when there was a big bump in the road he handled himself with the utmost professionalism. First, my elderly parents had water damage to their sun room and kitchen. I interviewed four contractors for the work and chose John because he was straight forward about what could be done. I didn't have a sense that he was taking advantage of my ignorance in all things construction. For example, he didn't recommend ripping out and replacing the entire kitchen ceiling paneling as one contractor did. Instead, he felt just repainting the ceiling would be a lower cost approach and would probably work out fine. Second, the scope of the job. There were four parts: building a new built-in bookshelf, cleaning and staining damaged posts and beams, painting the entire kitchen ceiling, and removing and replacing water damaged ceiling paneling and fabric in the sun room. John had three guys working for him. A painter, a woodworker, and an assistant. All three were courteous and positive as opposed to rude when I noticed some detail that seemed a bit off and needed tweaking. They cleaned up after themselves and the pace of the work was fine. I'd asked that I always be called first before they came over and John always did. The kitchen painting, the staining and the new book shelf construction all went well and I was very pleased. The woodworker not only rebuilt the bookshelf to make it look like the original one he improved upon the original by making one side of the bookshelf complement the jagged lines of the adjacent stone chimney when before there was no meticulous interlocking of stone and wood. Three: the bump in the road. The trickiest part of the work was saved for last; that was, the restoration of the two damaged ceiling panels in the sun room. The concerns were: could we get the fiber glass backing and how would we age it to make the fabric that I had on hand match the other 28 panels? The sun room was built around 1967. While I had some pieces of spare fabric what would happen if the aging attempts failed and we needed more fabric? Where would we get more? Was it still in circulation? Or would we have to go with a new type of fabric which would mean replacing all 30 panels and not just the two? The woodworker was going to take on this challenge and at first he seemed eager. But then he took a vacation which was fine except that when he returned the pace and quality of his work was off. He wasn't showing up. He was leaving work debris around. His craftsmanship was average to poor. He seemed nervous. When he started trashing John stating he needed a helper I didn't say anything. I just thought he should be communicating this grievance to John directly and not to me. On what was his last day he gave me his card and told me he was going into business for himself and I let him go without a word. About a half hour later I called up John and told him the guy did a terrible job on the paneling, the level of his craftsmanship was totally off, and he left a mess. John came over promptly and ready to work. He didn't ask what was wrong he knew what was wrong and redid both panels himself. His craftsmanship was excellent. I could tell he was like a fish in water the way he worked the project. He took full responsibility for the woodworker's poor work and not only expressed his apologies verbally but he did a lot of extras around my parents' house to make it up to me. For example, my elderly mother slipped and broke her foot on a small staircase that goes into the sun room from the kitchen and was currently in a rehab center convalescing. I showed John where she fell. He went out to home depot and bought a simple drawer handle. He installed the inconspicuous-looking handle onto a beam to the side of the staircase and to this day mom holds onto it for balance when she's walking from the one room into the other every day. I could say more but I think the bottom line is John really tries to do the best he can for his customers. He can spot good workers and he responds professionally if they don't measure up.

The experience of having Sigel Brothers Construction work on my house was a great one. The area hit by the tree was an addition that included my kitchen area so we needed the work to be done in a timely manner. The whole project took about a month and we were very impressed with how when Anthony said things were going to be done, they got done. There was very little down time and the project was finished when it was suppose to be completed. It was actually finished right before Christmas which was a very nice gift for our family! In terms of the work done in the house everything came out very nice. We had floor work done, cabinets put in, drywall work, painting done and so on. The work done by both Sigel Brothers and any of his subs was solid. I would definitely use Sigel Brothers Construction again! They are professional and do quality work which can be hard to find now a days.

Sigel brothers were great to hire. They were very professional. The company tore off the old siding, installed insulation, put up new vinyl siding, made sure all vents matched, put up trim around windows, etc. They showed up on time and took time to clean up daily. We are very happy with their work. It looks great!

Excellent work, extremely reliable, timely and consistent communication, fair pricing and thorough clean up for all work performed. I have asked them back to my home for several summers because I know I will receive top notch work. Anthony will not rest until he knows you are perfectly happy with the work done.

The project went very well.  We did most of the demo of the tile floor and the cabinet removal and then they took it from there.  The removed all sheet rock, replaced it, installed the cabinetry, connected the appliances, did the tiling.  We were so grateful for their additional support as well.  Once the sheetrock was removed from the ceiling we discovered a leak from the upstairs bathroom.  They went out of their way to help resolve that problem as well.
I was amazed at how punctual the workers were.  They always arrived at the time stated.  They were neat with the cleanup each day and at the end.

Meticulous quality. I had just had a hardwood floor installed in our family room and didn't want any paint to land on the new floor. Not a drop! Not a spatter! The painter was very careful, very courteous, very professional. Best paint job we've ever had. We'll definitely use Sigel Bros. again!

John's crew came on time.  Mario and his assistant did excellent work. They removed all of the ice jams and snow.  They cleaned up the walkways after.  Mario spent time after the job was done to show me the work and suggested some things to do for next winter.  He offered to come back in the summer to inspect the roof to make sure things are all set.  The job was scheduled for 8:00am and they showed up at 8:00am.  It took them about 90 mins to complete the entire job.
Mario was very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous.

John arrived promptly to look at the project.  His quote was right in the ballpark with others received and he agreed to use the supplier we got a deal with.   Demolition went smooth and all debris was cleaned up and carted away.   He built the frame first, then measured and ordered the decking material.  He admitted to never before using the railing brand we choose but spent a good amount of time studying the directions and laying everything out before he started.  End result:  He got it right on the first try.

We were very impressed with John's demeanor and professionalism and would not hesitate to contract with him again.

Working with Sigel Brothers was a pleasure.  They provided a quote quickly, began the work in a timely fashion, worked efficiently and did an excellent job.  When the old siding was removed severe water damage around a failed window was discovered.  They pointed out the problem, worked to resolve the issue which required having to remove plaster board on the inside and repair water damaged hardwood in one section of the room as well as rotted plywood under the hardwood.
Their sub contractor doing the hardwood flooring replacing just a section of it did a great job too.  You wouldn't notice that the floor had been worked on.  They were able to match the color of the hardwood floor perfectly.
Excellent work and service all around!

Great experience ? We had our 1960s style ranch home ?completely remodeled? from top to bottom in year 2014  -
All windows in our home were resized and a new box window and bow window added.  The back screened porch was ?completely transformed? to include a large step-down family room, a new full bath, and a new large back foyer with a new closet.  The hardwood floors were completely refinished and new hardwood added in areas where none previously existed.  All rooms were completely repainted, ceilings sanded for nice smooth finish, and light tubes were added in ceiling to bring more natural light into the home.  New baseboards, base molding, wainscoting, and crown molding were added.  All closets and entry doors were replaced inside and out.   New vinyl siding was added, the roof was replaced, a new front entry portico was added with stately columns and a very nice large front porch landing.  Our ?small? outdated
kitchen was enlarged to give us a 23 foot long kitchen.   Our one-car garage and outdated workshop were converted into a  nice two car garage.   Our back entry was updated with a very nice back porch with railings.
Sigel brothers pricing was fair and reasonable and they are dependable, honest, and trustworthy.   Sigel Brothers are problem solvers and suggested creative solutions when required.  They were also very responsive and  quickly resolved the occasional minor glitches.   The crew consistently showed up on-time and they listened to what we wanted and followed through on everything and everyone was very pleasant to work with.
We were especially impressed that Sigel Brothers was able to give us our sunken family room, especially since we were previously advised that lowering the floor was NOT possible but Sigel Brothers ?sized it up? and said ?yes we can do that? and????.they did and it turned out great!
Sigel Brothers is currently working on phase 2 of our remodeling project to transform our dysfunctional basement into a game room, laundry room, new ½ bath, walk-in closet, and separate exercise area.
Overall, the whole experience has been great.  Take it from me, you should hire Sigel Brothers.  You will NOT find a better more skilled, dependable, and honest contractor.

I had a number of contractors out to my house to spec out removing fascia boards and replacing them with an Azek type fascia board. Most of the contractors I contacted either did not have the capability or knowledge to handle the job, did not show up or were priced unrealistically high.
Sigel brothers not only promptly came out to spec and price the job, but also suggested an alternative solution that was much more effective and cost efficient than the one I was originally considering and having priced. Their suggestion consisted of cutting a small section of the siding where it abutted the fascia boards and installing J-channels to prevent the entry of the carpenter bees. Their suggestion was not only much more effective, but was 50% less expensive than the approach I was originally considering. As an added benefit, the installation of the J-channels took much less time than replacing the fascia boards with Azek. Also, Sigel brothers originally estimated the job to take approximately 3 days to accomplish and finished in half that time and did a very neat, attractive and efficient job.
As proof of the effectiveness of their approach, I personally witnessed carpenter bees trying unsuccessfully to enter the fascia board after the J-channels had been installed where they had been previously nesting.
I would hire Sigel Brothers Construction LLC again in a heartbeat!
