I found Joel to be a very pleasant person to work with. He gave us a fair price and delivered on what he promised. Prior to selling our house we had an entire second floor painted. All bedrooms, closets and the hallway. Joel prepped all areas to be painted including filling in small holes. He also helped me out with some unexpected nail pops. The painting of the second floor without a doubt helped sell our house. I would hire this company again.

He sanded, applied a rust remover, spot primed and painted the railings. The final white cote did not cover well and came out slightly pinkish because the paint he used was too old. So he got new paint and repainted the railings. Now they look great.

I have a handicap ramp in front of my house. Three years ago, I had it repaired and painted, but the paint was coming off and it looked bad. I called Many Colors Painting, which belongs to Joel Shirk. He does most of the work himself, because even he has trouble finding good painters. The next time he was in my neighborhood, he examined the ramp. Then he mailed me a neat and complete printed estimate. I signed the estimate and mailed it back. When the weather permitted, he reset the nails, sanded all surfaces, applied deck cleaner and power washed the ramp. Then he stained the whole thing with two coats on the horizontal surfaces. I am delighted with the way it looks, and I think the paint is going to stick this time because of his thorough prep. This is the second job that he has done for me and I highly recommend him. Also, he has a gentle and pleasant personality.
