We ended up losing this home in which we were very interested in, despite the fact that we put in an offer that was $20,000 higher than the accepted offer. The entire transaction was shady and unethical and will be reported to consumer protection
On a personal note, dream homes don't come along everyday. It is 4 months later and we are still house hunting. It's very frustrating

I sold my house with a relo package, with which I did not pay to Gaye directly but she did get her commission by my company. While Gaye seemed to have worked reasonably actively, I did not know exactly what Gaye did in promoting my house. It seemed to me that lowering the listing price was the only key strategy to sell for her as far as I could see. We kept being asked to low the price which we did not agree with after one reduction already done. Fortunately we did not follow her strategy as our house was finally sold at about 98% of the listing price, which was much higher than what we were asked to reduce to. Also I felt that I was not very well represented by Gaye when we had some different interpretation of some clause vs the buyer. I ended up losing some money which I was really not happy with. For sure I will not use Gaye as my agent again while I'm looking for a new house.
