Okay, but they certainly lack efficiency of service.  I made the appt over the phone and they got me in soon.  You drive your car into a covered area, have to go in and WAIT for next available person to do the write-up. That takes several minutes.   He then has to go outside to your car again and check some things.  Then, come inside again and make out the slip for you and you have to repeat everything that you asked for over the phone again.  (Very time consuming)  I asked to have the car ready the next day at noon and have them call me when it was ready.  They never called, so I had to call them.  In all fairness, I am used to doing business with Hoffman Toyota.  When you call to make the appt, they bring up your info on the computer and fill in the the form on the computer, so that when you arrive for your appt, you are taken in promptly and all the info is on the computer already, so all you have to do is hand over your keys and sign the form.  They are also excellent about calling to tell you when your car is ready to be picked up.  Too bad Hoffman does not sell Subarus!

I really like them a lot. I've been with them for years. They have done a variety of things and they are always very, very good. Their service department is superb. Their prices are reasonable. I've tried other places that are closer to my home but they always do things that are correct. It is easy for me to make an appointment. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They explain to me what they are doing and they try to save me money if they can. I have shopped around for pricing. I will absolutely use them again.

I have been going to them since 1988. I think they are great. They are very honest. I have gone in there before and i told them i need brakes, and they came out and told me i do not need brakes. They tell me what needs to be done right away. I have bought a couple of cars from them. I have been very happy with them. When i bought my last car from them i bought unlimited oil changes for 300.00, so i don"t pay for my oil changes. Their prices might be a little bit higher than places that are not dealers, but i trust them. I am planning on buying a new car in a year or so, and i will probably go back to them.

Easy process over phone and Internet to get a very good price on a new Outback. Did have to go through the usual hassle and back and forth to get a fair price on my trade but overall relatively painless. Service has been good. That have been fair with me and done good work.

After researching Subaru Outbacks on the internet including expected sales price and trade-in value for my current car I visited Mitchell Subaru. I found Mitchell to be very professional and open in the sales process. They gave me a significantly better trade in value for my current car and an equally good discount off the MSRP compared to the other dealer I visited in the Hartford area. We were able to make a deal in about 10 minutes because they recognized that I had done my homework and had realistic expectations. The deal I made was for an end-of-year 2011 model that was not yet on the lot but was "in transit". After a few days they called and volunteered that the new 2012's were going to be in stock sooner than expected and that they could give me the same price for a 2012 model if I could wait a month or so. Since my current car was in good shape and I wasn't in a hurry, I checked first with my insurance company and then with the town property tax assessor to make sure that there would be no big increase in either taxes or insurance for the 2012 vs. the 2011 (there was very little difference). So I waited for the month and they checked in with me several times to be sure that I knew that they had me on the list. Sure enough, the 2012s came in and they did some horse-trading with another dealer to get the exact color and option package that I wanted. It even ended up costing $200 less than the price I had agreed upon.

I have bought 3 cars from them and all of them have been great. The manager Jason is amazing and the sales person Valeria is good, too. They do all the transactions, openly. They are a very helpful and informative. They are very welcoming and spend a lot of time with the customers. They allow you to drive as many cars as you want, before you choose one. I like their services and will use the same in future.

Unfortunately they fixed the wrong thing. My son paid for the work they did and then noticed that they hadn’t fixed the problem that he came for. They told him that the work would be another $300 but my son was in a rush so he drove away. I called back because this car belongs to me and my husband, and they told me that I would still have to pay for all of the repairs. I spoke with someone at the headquarters and he told me that he could give me a discount, but I was still upset that they didn’t fix the right thing. Finally we decided that I could go in and pay the dealership for the work, I would fax him my bill, and he would send me a check. I have not received a check yet. This car has been going to the same dealer since 1997 because we assume that they know what they are doing and will fix the right thing. Of course they were nice and polite and everything. What they fix they fix well, but they overcharged on the battery.

Dealer gave me a fast and fair price over the phone (after sumbitting an online request for pricing) on a new Outback. When I went in they gave me a lowball price on my car at first but after speaking to two other people (used car manager and general manager) arrived at a fair price on my trade in. It would hve been better if we had gotten to the fair price on the trade in faster but othewise they made the process easy with fair pricing. Nice folks to deal with and I love the car. I haven't done any servicing yet so will follow up with input after first servicing.
