I was very lucky to come across Jay and his company and hire them for my basement project. Jay took his time to educate me on the problem I had with crack on my wall and leaking that flooded my basement. He was very reassuring and gave me a fair price. His crew showed up and finish the project in one day, did amazing job and even cleaned up after their work. I have nothing but best to say about Jay and his company. The name Definitely describes Jay, John & their workers top notch. Jay very helped us by changing the date we had planned. We had something come up & no problem he scheduled us for another date no problem. From day one he was in contact with myself & wife very accommodating. Also, very helpful in other suggestions of things we could do to our basement. These guys came in here two days & I was surprised how clean & neat respectful these guys were. They did such a great job it s like they were never here. I here & read stories about companies leaving a mess along with dust when they leave. This crew totally opposite. I m very extremely happy that I hired these guys I got lucky with this company. Jay down to earth & a great guy & now friend after his service. Before hiring Jay Seltzer and Reliable Dry Basements, my basement was essentially a lake during late winter/early spring snow and ground water melting, as well as every heavy rainfall throughout the year year in and year out. Many times in the course of a typical year, I needed multiple portable pumps to remove as much of the water from my basement as possible (but never all of it). In 2015, I had Jay install his mechanical waterproofing system after researching it thoroughly. It took a day and a half to install, and I was very impressed with the diligence and precision of his crew. But even more impressive were the results. In the five years since installation, the system has worked perfectly to keep my basement bone-dry through every seasonal melt and rainfall. There has never been even a hint of invasive water down there. Furthermore, I m confident the system was constructed in such a way that it ll continue to work perfectly for decades to come. Well worth the money I paid for it.

What a surprising twist to have such great service from a company. My wife and I have had a lot of bad luck in dealing with contractors, but Jay was a drastic change. From the second he sits down with you he plays zero games and wants to make sure you fully understand the process, price and service before you sign a single thing. No pushy sales tactics, just a down to earth great guy trying to help anyway he can. Even after getting quotes from multiple other basement companies, we could not find anyone who could come close to Reliable Dry Basement's price. My wife and I decided not do anything that year and hope for the best so we could save up some money. Our basement only got worse and once we started to look again for someone to help, Jay was the first person to reach out. On top of everything else Reliable Dry Basements kept the same price from the previous year. Since then we have not had a drop of water in our basement. Absolute life savers!!!!

Jay the owner of this company put the customer first and was really hands on in dealing with our basement. He is a man of his words, who I have a lot of respect for as a real business oriented and a real customer service business owner. It is rare in these times today to find a owner who is honest, but like my Dad use to say "I can show you better than I can tell you". Jay not only told us what work was performed before hand but it was shown to us as well. The workers where very pleasant and cleaned up the area during and after all the work was done. They came in and got right to work and completed the job in a timely fashion. I would recommend this company to all my friends and associates anytime. What a Great Job!

His crew was also very friendly and did a good job of managing the dust and debris caused by the jack-hammer on the concrete. Jay, the owner is someone you can trust. He never pressured us into signing a contract nor did he try to persuade us in hiring his company. Jay was very patient with us and answered all of the "many questions" we had about the process of this type of work. After his crew arrived lead by Jean (John) and the jack hammering had begun I wasn't quite sure I had made the right decision. But Jay too had arrived the day the work had begun and assured me that everything would be alright that that we can rest easy after the work was over. Two days later I couldn't believe my eyes. It was like they weren't even there. And I had two wonderful looking sump pumps installed with two drains also. I give Jay and his team five plus stars because they were extremely courteous, polite and respectful to us. And they did an awesome job too. Very professional business. I had two sump pumps and two floor drains installed with my new system. After they jack-hammered the concrete, I changed where I wanted one of the sump pumps located. They had no issue with my request. I’m very happy with my results. I strongly recommend them to anyone with basement issues.

They provided a clear and simple explanation of their work, scheduled it within a month, came in to do the job, cleaned up and demonstrated the system. It has been effective ever since.

Jay, the owner excels in customer service. His crew, headed by John did an excellent job in answering our questions regarding the work to be done in our garage. The crew arrived on time and got right to work. Besides being knowledgeable with the process of cutting a trench in the concrete and installing the sump pump, they were friendly and pleasant. They cleaned up when through. My husband was very concerned about breaking the concrete in the garage floor but when done, he was very pleased. A highly professional and skilled company.

Jay and his crew were excellent.They answered all our questions. Our wet basement is now dry. They did a good job of cleaning up after themselves.

Jay, owner, was especially helpful in providing options for a dry basement, the only company that allowed me have input into the decisions regarding the location of the sump pump and the external drain pipe. Jay was the only salesperson to mention the much needed mason drain. Jay is knowledgeable but did not speak with me as though I wouldn't know a sump pump from a vacuum, I appreciated the explanations and the option to say, yes, I know this already so he would skip a part of his schpeel / presentation. Jay has a sense of humor that puts one at ease making this expensive purchase. I did not feel pressured, but did make an immediate hire decision after speaking with him for about 30 minutes time. I had met with 3 other companies prior to meeting Jay. I believe what set Jay apart from the others was his confidence in his workmen and product. Jay indicated I could call at any time with questions and his company offered an excellent warranty. I was able to book service quickly, but with flexibility for my schedule. Jay arrived at 9 am the day of installation to assure accurate communication of work to be completed and called to inquire about the completed work the following day. It is easily evident to see that Jay and John (the work crew lead) have worked together for years and are committed to customer service as well as enjoying the work they do. John and his work crew were efficient, friendly, clean and especially helpful in moving the items that I could not physically move myself (e.g washer, dryer, shelving). Jay offered to remove the old sump and all shelving that needed to be removed was carried to the curb by John and his crew of 2. The work was completed in one 8-hour day. Looking forward to dry cement, installation of a new floor and moving the laundry room back into working order without the worry of a flooded basement. Now shopping for a floor installer and handyman to finish up the project.

I am very happy with their work.

Ask about moving back the washer & dryer once floor has dried. They said I did not ask so NO they do not do that unless asked prior to signing contract. Also when loading the truck with the buckets they used for the cement so I got brown splash marks on my white siding. No one mention cleaning this so I guess that is ALSO MY responsibility.

They were on time, completed the job quickly, cleaned up when finished and were friendly.

The job was left unfinished. Because the portion left incomplete was in that "grey" area of whose responsibility was it, they never came back to finish. (Some wood had to be removed in order to install the drains and it was never replaced.) That being said, we have not had a water problem since they did their work.
