Matt showed up on time and worked hard everyday he was there. He always kept me in the loop on progress and when there was an issue he handled it professionally and the project continued to move forward. I would not hesitate to hire Neighborhood Services again.

Matt did an excellent job removing our above ground swimming pool, he disposed all material and installed new lawn after removal, all that was done in one day.

Matt was recommended to us by a neighbor to do some cliff side excavating and install a retaining wall. Several other contractors had looked at the job and been unable to recommend a course of action, but Matt knew exactly how to proceed. The result surpassed our expectations due to Matt's design sense and eye for detail. Mat is personable, reliable, organized, and easy to deal with. Matt did an amazing job. He removed the pool and concrete around the pool, as well as a rotting fence. He graded the lot and seeded it. The whole job took about 2.5 days. Very happy with the work performed. Would hire him again!

Matt exceeded all of our expectations. The job was completed on time and on budget. Any hesitation that we had about taking the pool out was immediately put to rest once the work was completed. Most impressive was Matt's attention to detail especially with the final grading and the preservation of some of the established landscaping. We lost a pool but gained a park-like setting. We would recommend Matt to anyone who is looking for a knowledgeable and professional contractor.

We were very happy with Matt's work. It was conducted quickly and professionally. He has the right equipment for the job of removing a pool. He is an artist with stonework. He provided us with a beautiful new front walkway, which is an asset to our house. He cleaned up his work, and repaired our lawn with fill, grass seed, and straw. We were very happy with his work in all respects.

I would never use Matthew again. He argued with me repeatedly about how I wanted things done and became belligerent when I endeavored to discuss the project with him. He cost me more money because he refused to prepare a stone pad correctly and he broke and rendered useless my beautiful outdoor dining table because he was careless. I had to discover the damage myself and when approached about it, he offered no apology whatsoever.
I can't say this enough....I would never use NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICES again and neither should you.

"I was contracted to removed the swimming pool. First, when I started the project the concrete pool was not one but actually 2 pools. (first time this has ever happened to me out of the 150 pool removals I have done) There was another gunite pool installed inside the other one. I did not charge her extra for this huge expense. Once the pool was removed and completed, there became a drainage issue due to the layout of her property. She informed me about 3-4 weeks after I left her property. I told her I would be there as soon as I could. She then called me 3 days later DEMANDING that I return immediately to fix her puddle issue because "her dogs where getting muddy". At that time, I informed her Because it was raining every 3 days I would not be able to fix the issue until it dried out (which took even longer because there wasn't any sun in that area from shade from trees) 2 weeks later as it still rained every other day, she then called me and again demanded that I come fix her issue immediately, at that time I explained to her I couldn't because it was to wet and she wouldn't get good results. She then began to threaten me with reporting me to BBB and suing me. At that time I defended myself and my character. 2 days later her husband called and discussed the situation with me like a man. I explained that I couldn't fix it until it dried up. I scheduled the work and came back and fixed the issue. I refused to deal with her. I did not charge them for the additional work and the issue was resolved like I said I would. I do not ever disrespect my customers nor talk to them like children. When Member did so I defended myself. Like She said, I did 2 project for her neighbors. Please give me a call I will be happy to give you their numbers and they will tell you what kind of a contractor I am. Hey one even gave me UConn Football Tix. I don't think unhappy customers give their contractors Free UConn Tix 13 rows up on the 50yd line. If anyone would like I will give you their phone number and I encourage you to call and speak with her husband about how the issue was resolved."
