Similar to another review, I scheduled a routine maintenance on heater weeks ago, tenant took off to be home and the guy never showed. They left a voicemail on my phone, but I was at work, and when he didn’t hear from anyone, he just left. Said he couldn’t find the condo unit. Each unit is clearly marked with the number. Customer service said he already moved on and couldn’t come back? My tenant was home and he didn’t bother to call her even though I gave them her number. No appointment available until next month! Not well handled but seems to be a trend.

I made an appointment 6 weeks in advance and I took the day off of work. They were to come between 7-9 am. I waited. At 9 AM I called to see where the tech was. They said he came, knocked and even waited 15 minutes. I was home. My adult daughter was too. We were sitting 15 feet from the door. We could see the driveway. No knocks and no doorbell. He never actually came. The tech was lying or went to the wrong address. They said the soonest they could reschedule was 12/26. I will be changing delivery companies. Also, wait times on the phone are excessive.

After 20+ years as a Petro customer, we ran out of oil even though we were on an automated delivery plan. The service person showed up fairly quickly and provided ten gallons of oil to get us through the night. The next day we got an emergency delivery of oil. The delivery person apologized profusely, as he had made the last couple of deliveries to the wrong house. We were, of course, billed for these deliveries. I called Petro and they said that the oil was delivered to our house, as proven by their GPS system. I have spent over 18 hours (18 HOURS!!!) on the phone with them. They finally admitted to their error, but I have not seen full credit yet, even though it's been 2.5 months. Everybody promises that they will handle it, but nobody ever does. That includes the supervisor, customer service, and somebody higher up in customer service. My last e-mail stated that if the situation is not settled by tomorrow, I will consider Petro to have broken our contracts and will take my business elsewhere.

All me experiences with Petro for over 25 years has always been courteous and professional with service techs who go above and beyond.

Technician had to come several times to fix the problem and bad mouthed the company and his co-workers constantly. I thought he was rude and incompetent. I complained to management but they kept sending him out. DO NOT USE PETRO

Worst service ever! The weather has to be perfect with rainbows outside in order to get serviced.

Extremely slow. Last June I requested a technician to see why no A/C was getting to the upper floor. I was told it was the zone damper wasn't opening and needed to be replaced I agreed to the replacement. In the mean time they manually opened the damper Never heard from them again. I called again in September. I got apologies and excuses. It wasn't until the middle of March that the system was fixed. It was only because I didn't pay my fuel oil bill that I received phone calls from Petro. Their phone calls were to threaten me to not deliver oil until I paid.

Very well. I went back and forth and called alot of companies and Petro was the fairest. Their service is excellent.

They're wonderful, I would definitely suggest them to anybody. I've had them for 50 years.  Anytime I have a problem they fix it like that. When it's fixed it's fixed. The price was worth it. They're good. I'm very glad I found them. 

Because the first tech was not truthful and initially spoke in a condescending  manner to me I wanted to write Petro Corp. I was informed by someone at Petro that the field supv and the supv who initially denied my request for a third Petro tech who NEVER send my complaints to upper management The two different Petro front line supv, in my experiences ,clearly demonstrated ANTI-customer behavior If I had not been an aggressive customer I would not have gotten the third Petro opinion even though I pay the for a service contract I feel that if I am paying for services that Petro needs to deliver service without the mess that Petro put me through. Upper management needs to have a way for customers to contact them (I also went online and could not get that info) I am amazes that no one I spoke with at PETRO knew who their CEO was One woman gave me a bogus telephone number I feel that with Petro's consumption of the Propane companies had made them so large that they must feel that they have NO ACCOUNTABILITY to their customers. They need to improve their record-keeping...they claimed that they did not have certain records about my boiler that they installed. I feel that was a smoke-screen to relieve themselves of responsibility for my boiler And their customer service field supv need to be retrained or removed. No customer should have to go through what I have had to deal with since March 2016 Lastly,  documents that the first tech gave me to sign was checked as though he was dealing with the exterior oil tank, which was NOT the case. He also knocked over our telephone pole that we installed as a protective barrier..there is no way that he did not know what he did because I pointed out the fact that he needed to be careful backing out. Yet, he drove off without informing us. He obviously has a serious credibility problem because he was the same tech would saud we need a new boiler

I continued to use them.

I would not use them in the future, if there was someone better. We've been using them for about 10 years.

Well there is always space for improvement probably a little bit more of a explanation to the client and what was being done, I went downstairs to see what he was doing but in reality he didn't explain what was done but he did a good job. He went upstairs to my air conditioning unit on the attic he did different things it wasn't really explain perfectly what was done. They are the company that provides me with the oil, I think in reality I haven't really compare it with other companies.

The service technician Leigh Voytek cleaned and inspected our furnace. He was very personable and on time.  He cleaned up and didn't leave a spec of dirt behind. This is the second year in a row that I have used Petro Home Services. I also signed a Gold standard service contract which in my estimate covers 95% of all parts and labor for my furnace. The cleaning was performed under contract. Last year I had a small flood in my garage where the furnace is located and the valve for the expansion tank sprung a leak. It was a Sunday morning about 10am. I called Petro and they had someone here within 30 minutes. Once again the tech was great and installed a new expansion tank and I didn't pay a dime for parts, repair or labor because of the contract. Nor did I have to pay any premium for a Sunday emergency call. I was extremely satisfied with all work done.  If I didn't have the contract the cost would have been about 500 bucks. The cost of the service contract was 200. So it paid for itself. The price of their oil is also competitive with the rest of the market. I locked in at $2.25 as of 10/12/15 with a cap of 2.99. If the price is lower than 2.25 at the time of my next delivery the that's what I pay. If it goes above 2.99 it stops there. Overall I am completely satisfied with all aspects of their work and service.
