They came out and gave a reasonable estimate to repair our worn out roof valleys and were able to do the work the same day. They finished quickly and were very professional. They noticed the bathroom roof vent needed to be replaced and took care of that as well. They were even nice enough to remove an old satellite dish that the previous owners had left behind. Will definitely call again for future roofing needs.

Steven answers emails quickly and is very responsive and professional. Painters worked all day to finish the job quickly. We had recently purchased the house and the sellers did not leave the walls in good condition. Flying Colors did an amazing job touching up all of the imperfections and making the rooms look like new. They checked multiple times to ensure we were satisfied with the work and quickly addressed any areas we noted. Because we have a toddler and had a newborn on the way, we asked for them to use zero-VOC paints which they were receptive to and very accommodating. We would highly recommend Flying Colors and will be hiring them again to do our lower level and exterior in 2015.

I could not be happier with the performance of Flying Colors Roofing and Painters. They were very responsive, contacting me within moments of my reaching out to them on a Sunday afternoon, they were punctual, professional, pleasant and most importantly, their work was excellent. They repaired the roof, repaired and adjusted the gutters while using the existing materials whenever possible and they patched, plastered and painted the damage that was done to the interior of the house to the point of it being completely gone. Aside from just being very nice guys who clearly explained what they needed to do and why, they were clean, efficient and did exactly what they said they were going to do. While nobody wants a roof leak to disrupt their living situation, it is good to know there is a company like Flying Colors who is available to make the repair when/if it is needed. Steve and his crew spent 4 weeks working on our home. The workers were pleasant and hardworking. They made the house look new, bright and beautiful. Each wall was skim coated and painted. We replaced the heating baseboards throughout the house and added lights to each room. The back hall was retiled in a chevron design that is really exceptional. The master bath as well as the backslash in the kitchen are stunning and very well done. The lighting changes made really make a huge difference. Steve was very responsive and cares about his business. We will definitely call Steve again when we have work to do in the future.

I sought a number of estimates and not only was Flying Colors the most economical but it was presented in the simplest, most pain free manner. They were honest about when they could schedule the job, but did their very best to complete the roof before my wife came home with our new born daughter, which included them working weekends and in the quite cold! The team of guys that completed the project were excellent - friendly and hardworking. Once the job started I also decided to replace some of my gutters, but only after the owner of Flying Colors told me what i needed and importantly what I didn't need replaced. All-in-all, a very good experience. I would have no hesitation in recommending them and in fact I was so happy, I now have them coming in to evaluate some interior paint work too.

Steve and his team were professional. Steve was good at communicating the details and he seemed to be very knowledgable about his work. His partner Joe did the great job in installing the new copper flashing for our roof, but he was not particularly patient in going through the details during our inspection. Overall we are happy with their work.

These guys are UNBELIEVABLE. They are charming, attentive, punctual and tremendously hardworking! I was endlessly impressed with their work ethic. The crew arrived early every morning (by 7:30am) and continued working until after dark. And this was despite frigid temperatures. I would recommend them in a jiffy.

Steve and his associate Joe responded quickly to our invitation via Angie's List. They visited twice to answer our questions and prepare quotations for the various repairs we wanted to make. We decided to have the shingles removed in the two valleys that were vulnerable to the ice dams, in order to place a waterproof membrane 6' high around that area. We also had 4 turtle vents installed on the back side of the roof. We replaced the two flat roof systems, including tearing up a deck on one and replacing it with a new composite deck surface. Steve and Joe had the expertise and team to handle all of the work in a professional manner. He even took the precaution to wait for a major rain storm before replacing the deck so as to ensure that the new roof was water tight. The team was always prompt, arriving each morning around 8AM - and working through till the end of each day. They cleaned up each evening and hauled away all of the waste materials. We were so pleased with their work that we have invited Steve to quote on painting our home in the Spring.

I have used Flying Colors two other times in past for roofing but never for painting. Steve and his crew put a roof on my house and business and I was very satisfied. When my wife mentioned painting the 1st floor of the house, I knew who to call. I called Steve and as he did in the past, he stopped over with in a week and sent me a quote with in a couple days. We had some wallpaper we wanted removed as well drywall repair and painting. From the start they were great. Alex his foreman and 3 other men showed up at 8 am everyday and worked hard all day. I immediately took notice of how polite they all were. I was particularly shocked with their attention to detail and how well they cleaned up each day. They removed wallpaper and fixed drywall. The paint colors we chose were dark and all of the ceiling lines are very straight. As the first two times, we were very satisfied with Steve and the rest of his crew. I'm so glad we found him and will have many more projects for him in the future. If you are in need of painting or roofing, do yourself a favor and call Flying Colors. You will not be disappointed. They were just great! The whole crew was wonderful. They came the day before to be sure all of the supplies were delivered as well as the dumpster before their expected arrival date. Everything was waiting and in order so there were no delays. The job was completed in 4 days as expected. The crew couldn't have been more pleasant or more professional and courteous. They even cleaned all of my skylights when they were finished which I didnt expect. The yard was clean and tiny when they were done and the very next day they came to remove the dumpster. Bing bang boom....beautiful new roof and brand new gutter. By the way, the gutter guy came as soon as the roof was complete (actually on the last day) and the next day he came back to finish the job. My father was an architect and builder and I was raised around job sites. They guys did such a beautiful job. I have no doubt that this roof will last 25 years if not more. Steve, the owner, is such a great person. Very cheerful and positive and a pleasure to be around and work with. He has also helped me so much with other properties I own....fixing all kinds of small repairs and not so small repairs. As a matter of fact, tomorrow he is sending his carpenter to replace a pane of glass in a door for me. Thank you, Steve, for being in business. I wish there were many more Steve Totilo's out there.

Steve and his team were very professional, responsive and meticulous in every way. We are very happy with our new roof and the new gutters look amazing. The copper flashing and detail were exceptionally done as well. The crew work very hard and are very responsible. Steve handled all of our questions quickly and detailed. Steve was VERY professional and always responded quickly. Unlike the other roofers we tried to contact. His quote came quickly and he responded to all our questions. When we were finally ready to do the roof, he was so busy with roofing jobs that he wouldn't be able to start us til mid to late November of this year. Unfortunately we had to go with another roofer who could start right away. I was just so impressed with his professionalism. He's got A VERY BUSY business, but still returned calls and emails quickly. I was very Impressed. I'm hoping my daughter uses him when she's ready for her new roof. Although we didn't end up using him, I would and will recommend him to anyone asking about roofers.

The supplier came quickly to provide a quote. He identified the issue right away and was able to fix it on the spot. He was very professional and I'd use him again.

Steve was the first contractor to return my call for an estimate, the first one to send someone out to review the job, gave me a very fair price, and finished the roof in 3 days. It looks great. The experience was very pain-free and Steve's workers were a pleasure to deal with. When we paint our house in a couple of years, we will be using Flying Colors.

We have a 150 year old house which needed repainting. We also had a small section of roof which needed replacing. I called Steve because he had done work for me in the past which I was very pleased with. He appeared promptly to give me a quote for both jobs. I was pleased with the quotes and arrangements were made for him to start the job. He and his crew were terrific. The job was completed in the time he estimated, the work was just as he said it would be and everyone was neat and tidy. In addition to this all of the men were a delight to be around, I would certainly hire them again

Working with Steven Totilo pre-contract was great. He answered all the questions and was very professional. He always followed up and made me feel comfortable. Wow. Job was done in 3 days. Exceptionally professional team showed up on day 1 and within 10 min of pulling into the driveway had all their ladders/scaffolds up and were ripping the old roof. The team also moved all my deck furniture as to protect it. Steven (owner) brought a flat roof specialist (Joe) to the job to install a new flat roofing system. My previous roof on that part of the house used shingles which was completely inappropriate for that kind of roof. Joe worked in commercial flat roofing for 30 years so he brings a ton of expertise. The new roof is SOLID and will prevent any water from backing under shingles which used to be there. By the end of the second day, the roof was installed and most of the new copper flashing around two chimneys was complete. The copper work is excellent and was a bit of a challenge for their team as the geometry was complicated. By the third day the roofing work was complete and Leo from GV Seamless Gutters came by and did a full replacement of all gutters and leaders. He also installed leaf guards. Leo was meticulous, efficient and an overall great guy. At the end of the project, Steve had his team do a thorough clean up, getting rid of all stray nails with a rolling magnet and swept up. The moved back all deck furniture and left the job the same way they came (with the exception of a brand new roof). These guys know what they are doing. If you want the assurance that a roofing contractor will do a great job, hire Flying Colors Roofing. I have no hesitation recommending them. Excellent craftsmanship and very efficient

It was a pleasure dealing with Steve, the owner, and his crew. For the first time we worked with a contractor who actually followed through in every way, from appointments to proposals and the work itself. Steve is very friendly and is open about his work, both in explaining roofing and our situation specifically. He provided references and went out of his way to call the shingle manufacturer to find a house nearby with the color shingles we were interested in installing. He started the work on schedule and finished on time and was flexible in adjusting the schedule to our needs. He provided continuous supervision. His crew cleaned up daily as promised and also cleared away debris when the project was complete. We highly recommend Steve and The Flying Colors Roofing team!

This was an excellent experience with Steve Totilo, owner of Flying Colors, and his crew who powerwashed, repaired siding, and painted my home. Steve first completed a detailed and comprehensive estimate that told me exactly what to expect for his fee. He was true to his estimate. I paid with a deposit, midpoint payment, and final payment. I was informed about what to expect throughout the process. Steve alerted me ahead of the start date in order to give me time to make my color selections. All decisions were mine, and he was respectful of my wishes. When I asked for advice his information was experience-based and helpful. I was prepared again when it was time for the power washing and carpentry work, then the primer, then the final coats. This was all accomplished within days, but communication was excellent either in person, by email, or phone. Everything moved forward efficiently and systematically from start to finish. I cannot say enough about the professionalism of the crew of men who work for Flying Colors. They were focused, dedicated, effective, and left me feeling at ease with them working on my property as I came and went. They arrived and left on the schedule I expected. Their attention to detail was excellent and the clean-up afterwards was complete. The outcome was a beautiful piece of work and the excellent quality of the products used and the craftsmanship is obvious. If this sounds too good to be true, it is in fact true. I recommend Flying Colors without reservation.

We are in the middle of preparing our house for sale so we have multiple contractors working during the same period of time. This required that all of our contractors complete the work when scheduled so as to not disrupt the flow of work. When I hired Flying Colors, I told Steve that I needed him here the middle of September, and all work had to be completed by the end of the month. Steve's crew was here promptly the middle of the month, and work was completed by September 20th. All work was completed to our satisfaction, and the premises were left spotless. The quality of all work was outstanding. The best part about dealing with Steve (Flying Colors), is that he is easy to work with, gets the job done when scheduled, and does a professional job in all respects. My only regret with Steve is that I did not hire him to replace our roof, because the roofer we did hire was extremely difficult to deal with. The contrast between the roofer we hired and Steve's company was like night and day. This is the second time we have used Flying Colors and have had an outstanding experience both times.

I initially asked for a quote last year from Flying Colors Roofing but never did the job. This year, although I had other referrals, I went back to Flying Colors as I really enjoyed speaking with Steven Totilo (Owner/President) and he did an excellent job of communicating and providing a thorough professional quote. Steven sent a foreman to review my needs prior to confirming my job details this year. Steven then spoke with me in detail on the phone to confirm the contract. He made me feel very confident that I would feel happy with the results and with such a long term warranty and great reviews, how could I go wrong?! On the first day a crew of five arrived and the supervisor, Justin, who was a complete pleasure to work with, explained what needed to be done and the schedule of work etc. My job took three days, and we encountered a hitch with a chimney which needed more work than expected. I was given a couple of options for the fix and I felt confident that the higher level work was needed and I was being charged a very fair price for that additional work. A couple of Steven's other service providers came to review my gutters and other exterior pipes and fixed and cleaned where needed, as well as adding a couple of replacements. This was also much appreciated as I had no idea the incompetent hanging of my old equipment was so detrimental to the well-being of my roof and house exterior. The team did a great job of clearing up. At all times they were professional, hard working and conscious of time and convenience. Steven, himself, also came to check all was well near the end of the job. I don't know how he finds the time, but if you can work with this company....then do so! Ultimately, I am thrilled with my new roof, and extremely happy to have chosen Flying Colors Roofing and Painters for the work. I would recommend them to anyone needing roofing and painting work.
