furniture sales
 + -1 moreWorked with Dining Furniture Showroom to make a custom kitchen table and chairs. Designed the piece with one of their floor sales people. Put down a $2000.00 deposit to get the work started. Got a call a few weeks later saying that the table was not possible because of the materials and design. We declined to redesign a new table, but they refused to refund the deposit. We had to file a grievance with our credit card to have the charge reversed. No work was done; no work was started; no work was attempted. It's inconceivable that a business would even try to keep a deposit with no effort exerted.
