Sheila (owner) was very nice to come to the house on a Saturday to meet me and go over the work to be performed. We scheduled a date for her to return with her mason during a weekday and the work was performed. When I noticed that one of the items on the list was missed, Sheila apologized and had the mason return within a week to finish. Overall, the work was done well, timely and courteously.

Went quickly, mostly done in one day.  I didn't like the depth of the bottom step and they immediately changed it to my satisfaction.  Looks great and I'm very happy with the finished job.  I am in the process of planning expanding the project during the coming spring to include planters and another stone entrance.

lSheila comes across as honest and forthright so I felt comfortable with having her outfit doing this work.  I might have some added work done on this patio in which case I would certainly use them.  Everything proceeded as discussed and there were no problems in either
the timeliness or workmanship.  Good Job !!

Sheila was very responsive and very helpful.  I purchased a "deal" and used it to have some crumbling firebricks replaced in a fireplace.  Sheila came to estimate the work and determine what materials were needed etc.   She was very knowledgeable about all things relating to stone, so I asked her to prepare some estimates for me for some repairs and also for extending a terrace.  Very shortly after her visit, she called with the estimates and we scheduled the work on the fireplace at that time.  It all went smoothly and in addition to the firebricks, the mason worked on the fireplace surround to make sure there was no fire risk.  I was delighted with the work and the introduction to the company.
I did not schedule any additional work based on Sheila's estimates ... but I will revisit them next year when I plan to have additional work done on my home.

We didn't have a positive experience. It was basically an upsell and as soon as we said no to the tens of thousands of other work they insisted they had to do, we got bumped down in their schedule and they did an awful job.

Pricing and communication were great!! Work and professionalism not so much. The mortar to hold the loose stones was very deep in and only under the stones. It didn't match the rest of the wall. When I stated to her what I thought her response was well I think it looks great. Guess my opinion didn't matter. I know I said I wanted a quick fix but I did pay for 4 hours labor so it should have had more effort put into it. He showed up just before 2 and left just after 4. But he had lunch in my driveway before he started but still let's call it 2 hour hard work anyway. Don't forget I paid for a 4 hour deal!! Understanding tools need rinsed I was okay with the spilt mortar near the wall and in the grass. The fact he swept the sand out of the back of his truck in the corner of my driveway way not okay. In the end I feel like I received 2 hours work at the regular price. Not a good first time experience tryin the deals offered through Angie's list.

"Dear [member name removed], I am sorry you feel you did not get your money's worth, I saw the work and know that he rebuilt 65 square feet of retainer wall so he did not spend just two hours there. Considering no one was home when I brought Arthur to the job I don't understand you comments. When we spoke on the phone you assured me that you liked the wall and that you would remit a check for the materials used which I never received. Regard's, Shelia"

Not well.  The boss, who had come originally to see and estimate, brought a worker.  She charged an extra $50 for concrete that would be needed -- it was not used, but money not refunded.  She complained about the distance to the house, though she had been here before.  The worker did a rather careless job, cracked a large lovely rock that was already in place, glibly cracked rocks with no sense of the esthetics.  Then when he was done, he tossed the carefully selected (by us) matching rocks into the property carelessly breaking an azalea. We had previously discussed paying for additional time to repair the wall of waterfall, but worker not willing and left after lifting one stone, as the prepaid time was up.

Unsatisfactory experience.

Sheila was great to work with and very competitive with her pricing. Arthur took 2 days to complete the job and did so in a very professional manner. His work was great and very thorough. He even allowed my wife to have the kids all put their handprints in the newly poured cement!  I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others. Thanks

Sheila arrived with her mason.  they reviewed the work.  I had purchased the special offer of 4 hours of masonry for 99.00.  so it worked out perfectly.  Artur was the mason and he quickly looked at the cracked and missing joints and went to work.  He cleaned out the joints, swept away all debris and then filled the joints with new mortar.
He cleaned up right on time.
they honored the 4 hours and did the work so no complaints at all.
I would use them again.

Went great.  Sheila is very responsive and if she doesn't answer the phone directly, calls you back in less that 15 minutes.  They were very efficient, on time, provided a reasonable quote (for a job which was far greater than the Angie's List deal).  The masonry team that came were very nice, ensured everything that needed protection was protected and cleaned up afterwards.  On top of that, they did great work!  I highly recommend them.

Arthur the mason did a very professional job and Shiela Davis, overseeing and arranging the work
did a thorough job in reviewing job beforehand and making sure that the mason had materials, etc.
After the work was done ,Shiela phoned to ensure that the work was satisfactory.
Job was tardy in getting started due to demand on price reduced offer.

Scheduling was a bit bothersome.  There were multiple phone calls going back and forth but we finally got it together on a date.  Nothing I would stop using the provider for and they were perfectly nice.  The day of the actual work, I wasn't at home, so the workmen did their work and I got a follow up phone call with a bill.  Unfortunately, they had forgotten to do the foundation repairs that I had also asked for so they had to do a follow up visit shortly afterwards.
The workmanship, however, was superb.  I have no complaints about the work and at the end of the day that's what I'm paying them for.  I would certainly use them again, though I think I would be a little more explicit about writing out instructions and supervising the work next time.

I'm very happy to have this finished. The bluestone was loose which made the steps dangerous.
That is all fixed now.
We purchased a special offer of 6 hours of work for $99. Good deal.

I interviewed 5 contractors for this project. I chose Web Stone by Design because Sheila not only provided me with great ideas and options but worked with me to tailor the my choices to fit my budget. I am very pleased with my new patio and steps that lead to the patio from an upper level. The crew did a great job, was very neat and completed the job right on schedule. I will definitely work with Sheila and Webstone By Design again.

it took me a while to figure out what i wanted to do. shelia was more that patient with me.
from the start i knew i wanted to check out 3 places, shelia with webstone was the first of 3. there was a lag between the rest due to scheduling conflicts.
the other two places came in much higher.
Once i decided to go with shelia, i must have asked her for 7 different version of the estimate to figure out exactly what i wanted. she complied each time, in a timely fashion. answered all questions that i had.
once i gave her the ok to begin work, the men showed when she said, and the project was done very quickly. my new steps look amazing.

Sandy Davis was very friendly, polite and professional. She really worked with me; and if she does this for all of her customers which I think she does,  she is the very best in her profession to work with. She worked very closely with her workers and kept me informed. She shared with me on what to expect when the job was completed. The guys did clean up after themselves. Sandy checked the work when it was completed. Not only would I use her service again, I would recommend her to others. She does care about the quality of  the work performed by her company and it shows by her actions!

I had initially contacted the company to get an estimate for some masonry work on my porch and walk way. Shelia who was in charge came out to look at the work needed done. We decided not to do the masonry work, but I did receive a call from her later and she did show up again with some men that were interested in the roofing job for my shed and we agreed $250.00. They were to come out Monday morning to do the work, I waited and never saw them. I then called Shelia again and was informed he could not find the roof color I wanted so we ended up going with black, which was fine. He came out and took off the old roof shingles and was about half to 3/4 to completing the job. It was then that he realized he had put them on wrong and had to take them all off and re-buy more shingles to put on the roof.  I informed him that I was not responsible for buying to new shingles as it was not our mistake. He then came back the next day to finish the job and told me I owed him $500. I was anticipating the $250 that I was quoted before. I then called Shelia and confirmed that we had agreed to $250. To prevent further complications, I went ahead and paid the man as he continued to argue with me. I am now questioning the quality of the work. I feel that it is Shelia's responsibility to take care of the problem, since she had contracted him to do my roof. On top of all of that, he had left a mess for us to clean up. I feel that I deserve a refund of $250 and that this is no way my fault that I should have to pay for the mistakes that he made. I feel this work was not handled properly and Webstone By Design is responsible for the problem.

"No good deed goes unpunished. I did give the member a quote for masonry work which she declined. I did not contract for the roof job nor did I receive money from it. I introduced her to the man and also warned her of the difficulty in communicating with him. When I priced out getting a dumpster for her she stated they would remove the debris. Again all my efforts were for no compensation. I was just trying to help."

We decided to use Webstone by Design on our projects due to the positive reviews that we saw on Angie’s list.  The cost was middle of pack, but we were impressed with the owner’s (Sheila) knowledge and approach in handling the estimate process.   We went out of our way to ensure that there would be no misunderstandings about what we wanted by meeting with the owner, as well as the mason, before moving ahead with the project, and felt comfortable when we signed the agreement.   The workers showed up on the day they said they would, they started early and stayed all day.   Unfortunately we experienced a number of problems, of which only the major one is identified here.  I had provided a design to the owner to be used for the paver path in the backyard.  The path was completed in one day.  When I returned home from work, I noticed that the design was ignored or not provided to the workers.  In addition, after kicking-off the job with the workers, the mason had left to go to another job, and did not return to ensure that everything was done properly (although he insisted that he was in contact with the workers by telephone).  We called Sheila to complain and she made arrangements for the mason to return and check the work.  It quickly became apparent that the mason was not familiar with the design either.  Instead of offering to fix the issues, he proceeded to give excuses as to why the design could not be followed and insinuated that to redo the path would cost more.  Prior to this, the mason never mentioned the fact that the design we provided would be difficult to follow due to the curved nature of the path.  Throughout the project, I had the feeling that the mason was not really interested in this project because he was busy on other projects.  As a result I am not happy with a path that we were both looking forward to being completed.  Upon discussing the overall experience with Sheila, although she was understanding of our experience, there was no consideration given, other than that she would speak to the mason about his attitude.

I am happy with the work. They were very quick and they worked very hard. They did it the Sunday after the blizzard in October and they weren't afraid of untoward weather. We get lots of compliments from the neighbors. I am knowledgeable on prices but it seemed to sit in the middle of what was offered, so I would say that it was acceptable. I was quite pleased with them on the whole and there was nothing I was unpleased about. I am considering using them again.

Shelia from Webstone By Design returned my call promptly and came out to give me an estimate the next day.  She was very knowledgeable and we scheduled service for the weekend.  On the day work was to be done, her foreman came by my house to say that he would be coming by later in the day to do the work.  Later on, he arrived with four or five other men to reset the slate steps.  The next day when the steps had dried, I noticed some footrprints in the concrete dust.  I called Shelia and she had the foreman come out to brush out the footprints.  He came by and scrubbed out the prints but they wouldn't budge. Shelia called me a number of times to assure me that everything would be taken care of.  The foreman came by again and used some cleanser to get out the prints. All in all, I was very satisfied with the end result.

This is the second time I have hired WebStone By Design and looking for a reason to hire again, It turned out quite well This job was a tear down the chimney and have it match with our front porch and with Fieldstone. We used them previously on a Front entryway and amazed by their work. It was pleasant to have them around and a pleasure to deal with. Workers arrived early and were punctual. I can not emphasize how efficient about their time and kept in touch with me during the job and worked long hours to get the job done before to rainy weather was to come. If for any reason WebStone By Design always returning calls or emails almost immediately, even on weekends. It took us a long time to decide which of several companies to hire, and he kept checking on us and offered to discuss his estimate if we found a better price. We were able to schedule the work easily and the crew arrived very punctually every day and went right to work. They worked hard without breaks and even came early and stayed late one of the days. Most of the work was done when I was not home, and the workers always tidied up at the end of the day.
