The Gilder does beautiful, thoughtful work, transforming and giving new life to my furniture and antiques. The pieces were gleaming when returned to me. His workroom is talented and capable of many things, from restoration to upholstery to lacquering. I will use him again!

Both pieces were finished beautifully. All damage has been repaired in a way that makes the repairs just blend in with the piece. The console table was also made sturdier. Each piece has been restored to have the natural amount of patina that would accompany their age, so they both look like they were well taken care of instead of looking like they are brand new. Luciano takes obvious pride in what he does. He came to the house, examined each piece, explained their history and the techniques that were used to build them, described how he would propose refinishing them, provided an estimate, etc. When he left to take the pieces to his workshop, I was eager to see what the end result would look like. We were both thrilled with the outcome and now are looking to have him help us out with two other family heirlooms - a Singer Sewing Machine and a desk of the same vintage as the dresser drawer.

He was amazing and phenomenal. I would definitely use him again. The chairs were my parents' and I wanted them to look the same and to match the wood. He was able to do that and the chairs look great.

The repairs he did were almost invisible. I truly had trouble finding were the repairs had been done. I also had him refinish a dining room table where one of extra leaves was not the same stain. He expertly restained the leaf so I am unable to tell which one was refinished. The rest of the set (table, three leaves, and four chairs) were beautifully waxed. The Gilder is a talanted craftsman who does speedy excellent work at prices that are quite fair. I would not hesitate to recommend his services.
